Million dollar baby was horse shit.

Honestly the guy that played Danger was the beat acting job in that movie.

That movie was a 1 or 2 for me sir.
I absolutely hated that film.

Now you're just being silly. It's another film that fluctuates from 8-9 for me.

It's a soft 9 at best for me but still top 3 Eastwood film imo but I'm aware im in the strong minority with this battle.

Eastwoods best era for directing was in the 2000s decade (2000-2009)

A movie isn't overrated just because someone enjoys watching it more than you do

Its overrated because it does not have the quality of a true great film.

So your saying a because x person directed a film it's automatically better? Ok. Whatever floats your boat. Ok just saying I like Tombstone better. If you can't handle that subjective opinion so be it

It’s better directed. Even panic room is far more impressive than tombstone when it comes to visual style and camera work, lol;

Let me know which director you need help and I’ll tell you reccuring themes and directing style.

Yes Val Kilmer is extraordinary in this. But don't over look the performances of Michael Biehn, Powers Booth and Stephen Lang. All did amazing in this film as well.

Kilmer makes the film good.

Damn it's crazy but you just might be correct. I never had much love for MDB either. Favorite part was the ending.

Im literally not kidding at all.
I fuckin hated that film.

My brother made me watch it when it first came out.
I said to him, I really just watched a girl die for an hour and a half after THE corniest looking fall in history?

I was like wow, great.
He said you didn't think that was good?

I laughed...no I thought that was dog shit.

We argued about it all week, and I still think it's shite even after watching it 2 more times on my own to see if I was missing something.

The writing, acting, it's after school special levels.
No disrespect to you....but you and my brother can kiss my ass with that movie sir lmao.

Panic room is better than Tombstone? Lmfao... OOOOOK.

Anything Fincher had his name attached to (with the exception of Alien 3 and Mank) is better than Tombstone six ways from Sunday.

Same for me. What a pretentious piece of crap that movie was. I do like Eastwood and love watching classics the whole range from Woody Allen to Alien but Million Dollar Baby is just trash.
Its one of these artsy movies everyone expects you to be deeply moved because of the TRAGEDY but its so unsubtle pasted on even the most braindead can process it. This and Forrest Gump is were I clash most with other people.
Forrest Gump is also one "intellectual" movie for the handicapped.

The great parts of Tombstone are really great, and there is a lot of them, but the bad parts are really bad and stupid, that fucking horse love story scene and the end where he becomes a superhero, that it knocks it down from a 9 to an 8 for me
Its still one of those movies that I'll watch all the time, though, really fun wild ride thats full of interesting characters and great performances

I thought westerns were boring and terrible, not for me for sure. But last year I fell in love with them and haven't looked back. You should definitely check out the good the bad and the ugly if you haven't already. Not only the best western easily but also one of my favorite films.

Have you seen Pale Rider?
Thats my favorite

See I love Clint Eastwood sir, and that's why my brother thought I'd like it.
It's really missing the meat of a good story.

Forrest Gump was never supposed to be an intellectual movie, just a fun ride.

Still a popcorn movie directed by an unknown guy, lol.. I don’t hate the movie but it’s not great, at all.

Enjoyment is not the same as quality, a steak beats burger all day.

Fight Club (example) is just way better than tombstone in every measurable aspect

Lol you are an absolute trip sir.
This right here is why I stopped commenting on your threads.

You just want the confirmation on your thoughts, because you always think you're right.

Have a good one.

But that's just YOU deciding what a truly great film is. YOU don't get to do that, millions of other people do. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but you make these statements like they're fact

I just said basically the same thing to him lmao.
