Wholeheartedly agree.

Say what you want about Ep1&2, and I'll probably agree with much of it. But the Anakin/Obiwan and Palpatine/Yoda duels had me at the edge of my seat with the hair on the back on my neck standing straight up.
 
Revenge of the sith is overrated as fuck. Yes, cool lightsaber duels and Anakin killing the Jedi kids is cool... but holy shit the dialogue and acting is so cringe worthy. That movie even manages to make Natalie Portman look like an amateur.

That's all the star wars I enjoyed.
 
Phantom Menace was the first I saw in the theater, 00:01 AM of the premiere. So I'm pretty triggered that you people rank it so low.
 
Revenge of the Sith and Last Jedi do have the benefit of having a decent number of interesting scenes in them with Palatine and Kylo respectively, I don't think either is a good film but I spose you could argue their worth watching for that.

It was my 1st Star Wars in theatres as well. Caught the Thursday midnight show. I had it ranked last before the Disney Wars movies came out. My issues with it were:
  • Jar Jar and the Gungan's in general.
  • Kid Anakin was awful.
  • The story itself really didn't add to the overall saga that much, made the movie feel entirely unnecessary. You could have just started the prequel series with Attack of the Clones and had middle movie be all about the Clone Wars instead of the Clone Wars being like a footnote in the trilogy. They seriously blew an opportunity there.
  • Slow paced, boring.
  • Kid Anakin taking off in a ship and blowing up the Trade Federation Blockade like he was on some Chuck E Cheese ride was one of the most cringeworthy things in Star Wars history.
  • I know they fixed it, but Yoda looked fucking terrible in the original theatrical release.
  • Best thing about the movie was clearly the duel at the end with Maul and Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and Duel of the Fates, still that's probably only part of the movie I'd ever feel inclined to rewatch.
 
Just saw Rise of Skywalker today and man what a steaming pile.

So 2, 1, 3 and then meh.
