Ranking the Star Wars Saga

Kathleen Kennedy's feminist agenda really got in the way of Star Wars. I don't mind strong female characters but Rey, Holdo, and Rose Tico are so bland and shallow that it's hard enjoy their scenes
I don't get the SJW angle personally but cannot argue "bland and shallow." If that's how you felt that's how you felt.

Representation doesn't bother me in the slightest, in fact the opposite so I'm not the best person to gauge damage caused by feminist agendas. It felt integrated well enough to me, but maybe it's a problem with my standards. Is Diego Luna the best person with whom we can rely to give clear exposition? Perhaps not, but I wouldn't switch him out.

I think about all those letters and messages to actors saying how much it meant to see someone like themselves onscreen. I just caught that this sentiment was expressed by "geeks" and "nerds" to Harold Ramis for his portrayal of Egon, on THE MOVIES THAT MADE US.

I suppose that's how I felt that it was more forced than anything else. To me it's similar to forcing diversity in the workplace in order to get tax breaks. I could care less about what gender/ ethnicity is in the position as long as they can do the job. Regardless they should have wrote a better story and characters lol

This thread has some of the worst rankings I've ever seen. Jesus Christ, more than half of you clowns are ranking some of the prequels over the originals.

No because Revenge of the Sith is almost equally as bad. You have Empire, universally recognized as the best, at the very last and you have prequels over the OG trilogy.
Yeah, i see your point. I'm still not trolling, i just value different things in Star Wars. In my opinion, Star Wars is basically a cheap pulp fiction universe on steroids. Because of that, i'm mostly into cool aesthetics and fights. Revenge of the Sith delivers on both perfectly in my opinion (and the prequels generally do). Plus the prequels have Liam Neeson and Christopher Lee. Also take into consideration that i like all the numbered Star Wars films a lot, so the first and second-to-last place aren't far apart in terms of quality in my opinion.

Wow the love for Rogue 1 itt is insane.

I can see if Rogue 1 was literally the first Star Wars ever released then falling in love with it. But you literally knew no one lived going in. All the main rebel characters you had zero reason to be attached to

I'm only going to rank the movies that mattered.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Return of the Jedi
3. A New Hope

To each their own of course, but the Prequels at least complimented the OT as history, whereas the New Trilogy (Last Jedi most notably) threw everything out the trash chute...just the opinion of a middle aged fan here.

I rewatched the phantom menace again and I came back here to post that you were right. The prequels had a story and a vision. They also had unique visuals and characters that were not as forgettable as the new trilogy. Also every scene with Liam neesan and ewan mcgrgor was enjoyable. Damn... I didn't miss George Lucas until he was gone lol
