Right, because no black or hispanic folks ever shoot anyone indiscriminately.
We live in a nation where everyone is afraid of everyone else. You're not safe anymore, and thats how some people want it.

Mine too. Having a gun is supposed to have a calming effect. You got it and it's there if ya need it but let's try to not actually need to shoot anyone.

I look at it like this. I know I got mine and if I don't see one in your hand I feel like I got the upper hand to sort out what needs sorting out no need to brandish no need to draw i can just talk it out if needs be. I'm a huge dude carrying a huge caliber and the thing I train more than anything is draw and fire. I know I'm a bad mother fucker and I feel no need to prove it at all.

I seriously wish all gun owners would behave like I do

Part of me feels like they weren't actually afraid and were just looking for an excuse to kill - especially the dude who shot the young woman in his driveway. I have no doubt that asshole would pray to his god every night that he'd finally get an opportunity to use his weapon on a human.

Not it's not. It's if someone forces their way into your house you do not have to retreat. It's say that if ther forced there way into your home it is assumed they are a threat of great bodily harm or death. In many states this extends to your vehicle and place of business. You can shoot through a door in very limited circumstances.

In this case it doesn't meet these circumstances but the reports we have.

I support charges and prison time. Which depending on how long it takes to get through with it will mean the rest of his life and I have no problem with that. He is a danger to society.

A big part of me feels the same way infact I'm almost sure of it. From what we know of both stories I can't see anything that leads me to believe opening fire was a reasonable thing to do or much of a threat other than paranoia presented itself

Both cases you could easily grab your pistol and see what's going down without your possible threat even knowing you had it. Both cases you are in the wrong place dude likely would have and should have been the end of it.

Right, but castle doctrine is much stronger inside your home but not sure if it extends to on your property as much, I think at that point it's just basic self defense tactics for legal defense. I don't think stand your ground applies on your private property regardless, I could be wrong, though -- because on your private property I don't think you have to retreat regardless. I know everyone thought SYG was a defense in the Zimmerman case but it was never actually used.

It's a solid premise. It's silly for someone who is otherwise acting legally to have to become an Olympic sprinter when faced with felonious violence before they can defend themselves. Gives too much power to the perpetrator. It's also very difficult to find SYG instances where it was unreasonably used, imho.
