TS: dude kinda sucked.
I mean, what does that make Neal??
The guys Neal beat??
The WW Division??
The rear-uppercut is so bad, mma fighters seem to always throw it without their lead-hand glued to their temples. I suppose with mma gloves it's easier to get clipped anyways but why not try lol? JDS v Blaydes & Till vs Woodley came to mind immediately when I saw Shavkat throw it naked. He did have a really sick rear-uppercut to the off of a counter straight left that pretty glorious tho.He can definitely work on some things, none of these fighters are perfect, but he's definitely not hyped. He's one of the most well rounded and complete fighters in the division. The fact he has things to work on just means he hasn't reached his ceiling, and he just beat the #6 guy convincingly. Imo that's pretty fucking good.
That said, yes, throwing a rear hand uppercut as a lead punch is very disheartening. Before you call the man all hype, let's see how he comes back from this fight and if he adjusts his decision making and defense.
Regardless being ranked at WW and a 100% finish rate don't happen by mistake.
Could he tighten up the defense? Absolutely. Saying he sucked is a little hyberbolic imo. He did just finish a top 10 guy with a standing RNC
Depends on if he gets him to the ground and is able to dominate the grappling imo.He looked pretty underwhelming when compared to some of the things I have been reading about him on here. I think Khamzat destroys him based on this last fight
Shavkat was tested by a legit fighter who KO'd Luque and outgrinded Belal.
Why do people expect these dudes to look like Superman against world class competition? Elite fighters face elite fighters. Shavkat passed the test and will learn a lot of important lessons.
I thought he looked great. Doesn't mean there is nothing to work on, but he performed well.
Wow. Not sure what fight you watched but he looked good l. Walked through Neal's best shots and finished himif Im being honest
He fought like bizarro superman lets be honest here Probsbly a lot to do with the raised bar in competition but whatever you want to say hes got some work ahead of him
Namely someone in his camp needs to tell him its not a good thing to get hit in the head so much. Neal landed CLEAN each round. He wasnt the man to take advantage of theae free throws but someday he wont be able to rely on this wheat plowing strategy of his. The other stuff wss ok but was certainly overshadowed by the mumber of times he got drilled but in awkward positioms too like as hes throwing.
Hes hyped
We see your point and he took Neal's shots no problem. Neal throws bombs and has really good boxing so I think Shavkat is fine.LOL whatever
You just fail to see my point All Good
This boys getting hurt soon
And no one gives a shit about your opinion.Of course I do. Amazing hands.
Still not impressed by the slop. You dont need to befacing an elite opponent when your head is ia straigjtline meatball
Hes stupidly reckless I dont give a shit who you are theres never an excuse for that imo
he looked better against neal than khamzat did against burns.
This Gentleman gets it. Spot on.
