Yep I was talking about the Arman fight.

I don't think the Turner fight was a robbery by conceptual judging standards, but it does also further illustrate that a big part of his fighting style against elite fighters results in takedowns with little damage or control stemming from them.

Like a 155 Merab but at least Merab has the decency to not get very clearly outstruck in every fight

Gamrot is my favorite active lightweight next to Olives but damn he needs to start ground and pounding, he’s got the wrestling he just needs to start inflicting the damage

Gamrot is great, but his control on the ground is pretty poor.

I can't see how he GnP's anyone without real control.

Honestly, I think Gamrot's chin and cardio will be the difference maker in the one. Of course he's gunna get outstruck on the feet but the less time he spends upright, the more likely he wins. Haven't seen much of Fiziev on the ground, but I can assume he's average to below average off his back. It'd be cool to see Fiziev catch Gamrot and somehow put him out, but it isn't realistic. Gamrot by UD.

Hmmm, 3 rounds Id have said Fiziev by UD but tough to see his cardio holding up for 5.

Good fight and makes absolutely sense, I think Gamrot should win this by staying composed the first 2 rounds and then absolutely grapplewrecking Fiz, maybe even into a submission victory in 4th or 5th.

I'm happy that those upcomers now finally fight among each other to show the world who is good enough to enter the top5, enough with this call outs of upcomers who want to jump the ladder by wrongly accusing Top5 fighters as rank squatters just because they don't want to put in the work to climb the rankings. Fiz was already put in his place by Justin, what a glorious "go back to school moment" this was, and Gamy did also got slapped by Beneil back to the back rows.

Fiziev is must see TV BAYBEH

I love a good striker vs grappler matchup.

When in doubt, pick the grappler.
Generally speaking , I agree with you but in this instance I'm picking Fiziev. I don't think Mateusz has the kind of voluminous constant grappling style to tire out and gas Fiziev nor do I think his striking style is a problem for Fiz to deal with.

I see this going similarly to the RDA fight. Maybe Fiz wins a decision instead of a tko though.

Yay I can’t wait to watch Gamrot spam takedowns that go nowhere and land 0 offense while receiving tons of damage but still somehow eeks out a SD win on my favorite fighter.
Ouch.

More or less as boring than Sherdog darling Arman?

Very interesting matchup!

I am favoring Fiziev, because he is a finisher.

Used to like Gamrot, but he bores me now ... seems to be "an energetic" (but ultimately weak) non-finisher.

I have ZERO interest in watching any impotent, non-finishing fighter waste my time for "the maximum number of rounds" they're scheduled.

Don't get me wrong: if two bad-ass fighters are legit trying to kill each other, but it goes the distance, that's okay. It was an exciting fight.

But the last thing in the world I want to see is a "cautious tactician" try to eke-out a "points victory" ...
Many elitists on this board will disagree with you.
Not me.

Somehow I love when Merab does it?
But Gamrot vs Turner gained my respect. It was a good fight. Maybe it didn't age well after the dude loses to middling Hooker.

I voted Fiziev, but that fight is a push. Nice matchups, both.
