Why are you quibbling by using this distinction without explaining the technical difference? "Antisemitism" is not technically about Jew hating...because not all Semitic people are Jewish. But in colloquial, everyone knows what it means and quibbling it's use in a lay conversation sounds like derailment.

The quotes are from New Testament scripture and I think they speak for themselves. The idea that the Jews were complicit with the Roman government in killing Jesus and the Jews being divinely condemned for their complicity has been around from the beginning of the Jesus movement.

Qanon appeals to the extreme right, many of whom are antisemitic

I wouldn't necessarily attribute those things to Qanon himself
but of course people that believe in it are likely to be antisemitic

IMHO there is a good chance Trump and his friends are Qanon, they created it and many similar groups through big data, Cambridge Annalytica type organizations. This is how people, especially the right are being radicalized and brainwashed.

I've only seen anti semitism against a small group of oligarch alleged jews.

Trump is good friends with Bibi and has donated to a lot of jewish hospitals I guess the Anti-Semite Trump supporters are that stupid.

How could Trump believe in it? According to Q Trump is doing all these wild things behind the scenes and Trump knows he's not doing any of that. He knows that Q movement supports him and that's all that matters.
 
many of my neo-liberal co-workers (i work for a major tech firm) are anti-semitic, ands conversely, two barbershops that i frequent that are owned and run by jews are all pro trump. go figure.

he probably heard that q anon stuff and bought straight into it knowing deep within that he was always going to be the best and greatest. remember when he looked up in the sky and said "i am the chosen one?" that sounded legit to me.
 
I admit I hadn’t done as much research on QANON as I should have and was only really aware that they pushed hyper right conspiracy theories. I took some time to look into them and some of their claims and I was blown away. My biggest question is, is Q a troll?
These claims are so bizarre and outlandish that I thought it must be some elaborate joke that suckered a lot of people. I mean, they never have proof, nothing ever materializes, but people just keep believing in what they are saying.
My second question is, how many folks are actually bought into this? Has to be a very vocal, but small group, right?
 
I agree with you. I am starting to wonder if they were just trolls that used wild conspiracy theories to gain traction. Its one thing to claim conspiracy theories then you arent providing any actual research or things to back up your arguments.

Its like those people seemed that they wanted the attention from the media and journalists.

I was dating someone who worked as a watchdog for one of these online crime communities and so I often would look at his research into Q and I can assure you at least the people who follow it take it very seriously. You are asking if the original "Q" is a troll and I mean it could be. It depends on what you mean by troll.
