Whoever it is, he clearly understood how many people treat politics essentially as a sport, where the voters become elevated at the sight of their "team" winning.
QAnon delivered those people constant make-believe "wins" even when everything seemed bleak in the news. Rooting for Trump and his constant "winning", took the place of traditional American pastimes like watching football or basketball or whatever, and being the fan of a team or an individual. Even when Trump lost, he was still somehow winning. In QAnon world, he could never lose, and therefore his supporters always had something to root for, something to feel good about.
