Social Qanon Megathread V1

i'm curious to know if there is a unanimous consensus on who these people claim are "global elite" / "lizard people"

I was dating someone who worked as a watchdog for one of these online crime communities and so I often would look at his research into Q and I can assure you at least the people who follow it take it very seriously. You are asking if the original "Q" is a troll and I mean it could be. It depends on what you mean by troll.
Again they are probably attention seekers with people that have some "Probls" well i am not going to state it here probably. I still they think they are a very very small. The Q probably hurt most of the repetition on the Trump supporters because of those wild CTs.

Its one thing to have actual theories on the real world events like the Syrian and other conflicts etc. You know the arms issues and arm sales to specific groups etc that is real stuff not CT.

Yeah, the followers seem almost fanatical in their beliefs. By troll, I mean someone who only says what he says to elicit a response.

I admit I hadn’t done as much research on QANON as I should have and was only really aware that they pushed hyper right conspiracy theories. I took some time to look into them and some of their claims and I was blown away. My biggest question is, is Q a troll?
These claims are so bizarre and outlandish that I thought it must be some elaborate joke that suckered a lot of people. I mean, they never have proof, nothing ever materializes, but people just keep believing in what they are saying.
My second question is, how many folks are actually bought into this? Has to be a very vocal, but small group, right?

It is not a troll. It’s simply a long ranging disinformation campaign designed to sow doubt and control its base. It thrives on a ignorant base unwilling or unable to think for themselves while espousing to be free from the “media” grip. Trap a group of dumb people by making them believe they are smart. It’s quite ingenious.

It’s also not small nearly 56% of republicans believe in at least some of their conspiracies.

I am sure that whoever first started posting as Q was trying to get a reaction but like all grifters they also get satisfaction out of manipulating easily manipulatable people and a sense of power out of being waited on to deliver information.

Maybe I’m mixing people up, but I’m pretty sure he’s an anti-vaxxer because his gut tells him to be one.

Asked for some evidence on why the COVID vaccine was bad and his reply was that the government is bad.

QAnon might be a troll, but prominent people on the far right are pushing conspiracy theories that are just as crazy, like lizard people / :eek::eek::eek:phile space aliens controlling the government.

There's no way to confirm the actual number, but its much smaller than what all the media attention would want you to believe it actually is. They're just a popular scapegoat right now.

If Alex Jones calls them bat shit crazy, they're absolutely bat shit crazy.

I think the isolating effect of the pandemic had a very underrated effect on the speed and degree with which people became radicalized online. For almost a year, to a greater or lesser extent people have had nowhere to go and nothing to do except go down these rabbit holes. A lot of people who wouldn't have had the time nor the inclination if things were "normal" have now been radicalized.

I thought that they were trolls, but now I don't know. Where do you even go to get their bullshit?

It's a stupid psy-op to make gullible people believe they don't have to do nothing and everything will change overnight.

I am not even a anti-vaxxer. Amazing how some in here paint me as those nutcases because i dont believe in the Covid Vaccine as much as because it was rushed.

I shared the same sentiment at first but I haven’t found any evidence that it is unsafe and millions of people have already been vaccinated.

the research is all there, even down to the ingredients they’re using, at least for the Pfizer vaccine.
