Did he gut hurt? I thought I remember something about them realizing a couple weeks out that he was so bad there was no way he could pull of a big PPV match and so they just pulled him.

He had the SD big gold belt. Pretty sure he won it from Taker in basically a squash match where he killed taker with a Mongolian chop.

He won the title in a Battle Royal after Edge vacated it.
 
Cena had a good match. Well, I guess good match considering Khali was in it.
