Social PRIDE events where you live?

I've pretty much been on edge at every pride event I've been to since 2017 (there's no telling when some fascist dickbag will try to ram their truck through a crowd), but where I'm at now, I haven't really seen any problems. Not even any right wing protesters really. It's actually kind of funny. In "liberal" cities, it's pretty much a given that the Proud Boys or Patriot Front, or some other fascist street gang will show up to start shit at pride events, but where I'm at now (northern AZ), they're nowhere to be found. A result of less restrictive gun laws maybe? Idk
The protesters stayed away from the Pride event here yesterday. Everyone has the right to peacefully protest but one guy threatening me in a local Facebook group physically was a bit of a worry in the back of my head.

For being afraid for the last 8 years that a terrorist was to attack an event he was at.
Well it ain't like it's out of left field with the amount of vitriol spewed even on here towards LGBTQ. I see far more online elsewhere. Pulse wasn't that long ago.

And like I said it didn't stop me from enjoying the day but that guy doxxing and threatening me locally was in the back of my head too.

Best Pride Event Ever?

I don't know who Lily is. Great day yesterday, loads of families with their kids of all ages and as I said the only thing that might be deemed offensive was a woman who had a bikini top on which plus 100f nothing wrong with that and the DJ playing Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax. No one was dry humping anyone, no one was trying to diddle anyone at all, regardless of age.

People on this board assume every Pride event is like San Francisco, a ton of my customers yesterday were middle aged straight people.

Lily is a dude barely dressed as a woman and pretends to be outraged when someone calls him “sir”.

Literally films himself everywhere… and somehow has a couple million followers

But got himself in trouble when he videoed himself in woman’s locker room at Disneyland and there’s little girls in the background. Looking at possible prison time

Even the trans community hates this asshole

As they should

Like the dude at the WiSpa

Keep the kids out of it

You spend far more time on social media than I do, I don't know what WiSpa is either...another social media thing? Regardless, a wonderful day out for all ages was had yesterday and I'm proud of our town.

Walked by it today. It’s pretty bleh. I didn’t see any naked people or whatever. I saw children but with families. I will admit I don’t like pot smoking in front of children. Families shouldn’t bring their kids around that type of event.

I think 14 and up should be fine. At age 14 you are old enough to at least smell what pot is.

Funny, I caught a whiff of cigarette smoke a couple of times yesterday in the car park but no weed and nothing in the actual park where the event was held.

As somebody who likes to smoke pot at live events where kids are the respectful thing to do is relocate if theres kids in the area. Or people who seem uncomfortable. It's not very hard.

Some people are not respectful of little kids. I don't mind smoking pot but It is common courtesy to not light up near them.
