Social PRIDE events where you live?

I'm in a liberal town and have seen nothing. Feels...normal.
 
I've pretty much been on edge at every pride event I've been to since 2017 (there's no telling when some fascist dickbag will try to ram their truck through a crowd), but where I'm at now, I haven't really seen any problems. Not even any right wing protesters really. It's actually kind of funny. In "liberal" cities, it's pretty much a given that the Proud Boys or Patriot Front, or some other fascist street gang will show up to start shit at pride events, but where I'm at now (northern AZ), they're nowhere to be found. A result of less restrictive gun laws maybe? Idk
 
I am going to one tomorrow? Well not really going but I am going to meet someone and the Pride parade will be going on the same day. I think I will probably have to walk through it or at least past it.
 
Every normal minded straight man who has managed to dodge the lifelong homo indoctrination campaign knows that homosexuality is inherently disgusting (studies show this), but most do just think "ok whatever" in day-to-day life.

People who aggressively promote gays and gay stuff usually fall into one of three categories: overly empathetic women, narcissists who want to be perceived as "good" by others, and gays.
 
I wish the authorities would do something about Palestinian flags being waved at 'Pride' events.

Homosexuality is regarded as one of the most heinous of crimes in Palestine - with death being the punishment. It is so offensive to Palestinians to wave their colours alongside the 'Pride' flag.

I'd also like to see those consuming alcohol, whilst waving or nearby to a Palestinian flag, arrested.

I'm selling some wares at my local small town PRIDE event at the end of the month and people are already planning a protest even though it's in a general not kid park, and not parading the streets.

I'm not LGBTQ myself but a lot of what I'm selling is. Should I worry? Husband's going to be with me so physically I'm okay, my main worry is my mouth if someone says something hateful.

Despite what lefties think, outside of the radical religious right (who are as bad as the far left), most conservatives don’t care what other adults do unless they’re impacting someone else… like that dipshit Lily Tino?

Leave kids alone, live your life, love your partner and family, don’t bother anyone

Equal rights don’t mean special rights or entitlement

I don't know who Lily is. Great day yesterday, loads of families with their kids of all ages and as I said the only thing that might be deemed offensive was a woman who had a bikini top on which plus 100f nothing wrong with that and the DJ playing Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax. No one was dry humping anyone, no one was trying to diddle anyone at all, regardless of age.

People on this board assume every Pride event is like San Francisco, a ton of my customers yesterday were middle aged straight people.
 
I think the pendulum is swinging a bit back where people want to be judged for their character as opposed to the identity group. Perhaps coupled with corporations fearful of getting hit with a Trump/Vance stick if their identity-driven practices get deemed excessive or discriminatory which is a line that has been getting crossed frequently.

Being gay, brown, CIS, trans etc should never be how someone primarily thinks of themself. It should be things like "loving", "honest" and "kind" etc. Same thing for work, people want to say they are "smart", "competent", "hard working", "conscientious", not superior because of their "progressive liberal values".
 
Sadly you're not going to find any more Pride events they shut down in 2007. Sucks because it was really entertaining and the ruleset and crowd was so much better than what we got now.

Nowadays if you want to go to a Pride event the closet thing you can do is go to a UFC event, which tends to have a lot of gays in the audience.

I have lived in gta for 35+ years, never been, never had interest in going

I don't have a problem with it, wish the city didn't have to subsidize it

Maybe the people are just so flamingly gay there they gave up.
