It annoys me to no end seeing Jon’s fanboys claim everything under the sun to deny a champion has to defend a belt. No other champion ever got to avoid an interim champ and have there be two champs in a division. It’s completely ridiculous, special treatment that is unprecedented and it needs to be stamped out immediately because it’s bad for the sport.

There is no excuse on the plant that is valid for Jon avoiding Tom to fight Stipe and as of now, still not unifying the belts. You don’t have to like or beleive in Tom at all but this fight has to happen next. Anyone else would have been stripped for demanding the Stipe fight.. he gets away with that and he’s still getting away with it.

Jon fanboys should learn what a championship belt is. The HW belt is not a lifetime achievement award for the best LHW, you have to defend it for it to have any meaning. This fight is intriguing and I hope it happens. If it’s not signed in a few weeks, Jon needs to be stripped

Controversial decision or stoppage or freak injury will make the fight meaningless

if it's a clear finish with no injury and no positive drug test from Jones will mean everything.

There can be no asterisks... that's the problem with Jones. Too many asterisks. Failed tests, hiding from testers, 3 Controversial decisions (2 of them vs non-world beaters), cherry picking opponents
