Poatan is not big enough for 205.

I already adressed how irrelevant it is the alleged "out of the cage" weight. It seems is hard for you to grasp. Ánimo.

Regarding his in-cage weight which is what matters, it's reported at 211lbs. That's very light by modern LHW standards, when some get over 230lbs IN fighting shape, in the cage, not in walk around weight or gym pics, a big difference that you seem too slow to grasp. Yeah not extremely undersized but definitely not big at LHW, which is why he was able to succesfully and consitently compete at 185lbs being well into his 30s. Period. Educate yourself and learn what a fact is.

211, so a 6 pound cut, is extremely under weight for lhw. That would be the lowest lhw weight in the division

Tbh the whole reason he got knocked out was because of the weight cut. Thats it really.

He's huge, but let TS believe whatever he wants. Who cares.

he absolutely is, shogun and hendo fought at LHW ffs

he could easily fight HW on the right horse meat diet

Shogun wasnt so small. He was thick. He was 227lbs vs Coleman.

Hendo or Machida were smaller, among others from that era.

I guess Poatan can be close to 220lbs in the cage as a LHW, which is around average for the division these days.

His problem isn't going to be that he's undersized IMO. It's going to be a bigger problem that he fights with his hands low and guys at 205 will be able to take some shots and return heavy shots.

shogun belonged at MW but he couldn't lay off the paella

He wasnt fighting 50lbs above the 185lbs limit because of paella. Thats a meme.
Shogun is a thickass 6'1" of 76" reach.
At least as big as Hendo, Franklin or Sonnen who already had a tough cut.
Rua could be MW sized by today standards but not of his generation.

Potan is tall and lean but he does not have a massive frame and he is not thick. He has skinny legs.

He will be out muscled by guys at 205.
Okay.
IMHO, I think hes big/fast/powerful enough to dominate not only LHW but also HW.
Time will tell

Anderson Silva did not look outsized against Forrest and Bonnar at 205 and he's smaller than Pereira.

He's gonna look like he is a 205'er when the time comes
But that was AnderRoid Silva.

The HW champ is not big enough for HW.

The MW champ is not big enough for MW.

Sorry if someone already said this.

I think Pereira will look even better at 205. He's not going to be cutting an insane amount of weight, he might have been the biggest MW we've ever seen frame wise.
