Media Pimblett Goes off on Helwani in Interview with Dana White (UPDATE: Helwani Responds).

Ariel 10-8's Paddy,
by a fuckin' long shot.

<{danayeah}><DCWhoa>

Paddy is an idiot and a shill.
Dana has a girl's name and acts tough.

This is so damn pathetic.

Helwani might be a dork but
his limited merch sales go toward cancer research.

Youtube doesn't payout "thousands" to content creators.
More like pennies. Research it.

Paddy is getting paid by the sound of it,
and every youtuber is wondering "how is he making thousands?"
Ask the biggest educational youtubers who OPENLY discuss the payout scams.

Paddy is the new Bryce... incoming

Its pretty obvious where the "vitriol" comes from, Graham Boylan has spoken to him and pumped him up. Graham was "offended" that Ariel exposed him and said he wanted money for interviews, its pretty straight forward really.
Graham exposed his own self in a tweet, Ariel never mentioned his name publicly about it until today.

I wonder how much Graham takes off the top of the interview fees. Talk about being a parasite and making money off fighters for nothing

I would only agree that Ariel is biased towards certain fighters.

Literally the majority of the time I see people complaining about Ariel, it's over something ridiculous or them making a mountain out of a molehill out of something he said that is not a big deal at all
Also they say shit like what paddy and Dana said about him with all these claims. And NEVER provide any proof or examples other than minor shit. It’s hilarious to me.

I really don't understand the hate for Ariel some of you have. Seems like he just reports on the facts and doesn't take shit. I also appreciate that he doesn't pretend to be some great MMA analyst and sticks to simply reporting news and interviewing fighters.
Agreed. I always ask the haters here to provide examples of why he’s soooo bad but never get anything of substance. They simply dislike him and that’s it.

we could have vanilla journalists like Okamoto or Morgan who never ask questions that we care about instead. These same haters will probably complain about that and say it’s boring but bash Ariel at the same time.

I like Ariel but Paddy does have a point about him not paying fighters for interviews and pocketing all the money himself.
That's not how that field's economy works, how many podcasters actually pay their interviewees? I imagine less than 0.01%.

God Ariel's fanboys are a sad bunch of twats, cheering him on as he goes on another long tedious rant about himself.

Imagine supporting someone for posting a well, thought out argument to defend themselves in the age of bumper sticker thought processes.

Oh, the agony of disliking someone who routinely gives you a reason to respect him. You sir are the sad one.

I hope 30 years from now they do a deep sit down interview. It would be hilarious.

It's obviously a symbiotic relationship. If fighters don't think it's beneficial then they wouldn't waste their time.

Ariel was doing this when he was basically making peanuts. People never even saw the early shows and are pretending like Ariel just landed assbackwards into some fantastic position that he doesn't deserve. It's quite humorous.

This is an excellent post. Hilarious to listen to these dorks try to mental gymnastic their way into somehow Ariel is doing something wrong for working a job as a journalist and doing a good job at it somehow being unethical.

I take that back after watching Helwani's side of it. I'm wrong.
Gotcha, what in his response changed your mind? From the short clip that was put in this thread, there wasn't a whole lot of substance. I mostly disagreed with Paddy on the pay and calling him a content creator, it's like you can call all journalists content creators, but it is a dumb distinction to me.

He's upfront that he doesn't pay anyone, explains how he doesn't make any money from it outside his normal contractual amount and goes into a shitload of detail. Has receipts for everything.

I don't want to piss Ariel off.
