There's a few Sec Defs who were never in the military. Some others who were Junior Officers.Has there ever before been a case of someone rising so high in the military and never before achieved a rank above low level officer in a press corp?

If we want to include Commanders in Chief...lots more.
He worked for GENERAL Motors. Close enough.I did not know that. But I would say that the below have had a lot more administrational experience than low level officer / TV personality.

Just looked and I am currently up 828% on my $GE stock. Dogshit dividend but bought in when they brought Culp in as CEO to fix their colossal mess. Still holding so when Trump decides to invade Iran when the Epstein files heat gets too hot or if his polling numbers keep free falling. He would have seen much of that to as a sub president c-suite position prior during the war. GE was and is a massive org.
