Shut up, fat noob.If jon couldn't get him down then, yeah, I agree 100%.
Except jon would in all likelihood get Alex down quick and g-n-p him to open up a submission.

In a kickboxing bout? TS is bang on. If we are talking MMA then Jon plays the role of Randy Couture to Alex's James Toney.
Theres levels in this game and Jon was never good striker and now hes too old to take down people. Pereira would keep fight standing and punish Jon untiöö hes uncosciious. Even against prime Jon i think Alex beats him hes just so damn good.
Jon is running from Aspinall and Pereira is just as bad if not worse match up for him. Jon has no place to hide
Alex is too unpredictable for Jones. Machida light him up imagine what Alex would do to him if Jon ever accepts fights
Jones was pretty much done st that momentMachida did no such thing.

James Toney held titles at MW, SMW, LHW, CW, SCW & HW titles so.....Comparing a 2 division champ to James Toney is so pathetic. Just stop posting you're embarrassing
Jordan Leavitt exist. Quit being rude.I wish but I doubt it. Sadly he is getting taken down and elbowed by the gayest dude in the ufc.
That was old man Stipe, who couldn't even punch like 58 yo Tyson, man... Stipe was Joe Biden like Tom said. Oh wait... Now him ragdolling Stipe is impressive? HmmmHe ragdolled old man Stipe a few months ago
Pereira is a turtle off his back.
You are comparing the moon to the sun. That was old man Stipe, who couldn't even punch like 58 yo Tyson, man... Stipe was Joe Biden like Tom said. Oh wait... Now him ragdolling Stipe is impressive? Hmmm
It also goes back to the thread I had made about what was more impressive, Poatan defeating Jiri II or JJ defeating Stipe... Ppl wondered whether I was on crack for asking that as it seemed so obvious to them that Poatan's level of impressiveness vs Jiri blew JJ outta the gate.
But when it's Poatan vs JJ... "Uhh JJ is picking on a middleweight, he can't fight ppl who are a threat".
So they don't even know it themselves, most ppl here are all over the place in their comparisons.
I think you missed the point of my post. My point was ppl saying that even suggesting JJ was as impressive as Poatan vs Stipe and Jiri respectively showed the person was as high as a rabbit on coke, but now when it comes to Poatan being a big challenge to JJ they switch to their "JJ getting the right way because he chose Poatan, so they must advocate for the opposite fight since they know JJ is so good that if JJ is confident he will win" mode, already saying "But Stipe was that and that... Now in this case he wasn't a senior citizen like Tyson, he was such and such, so JJ wrestling is impressive AF !!"You are comparing the moon to the sun.
The problem here is that Old man stipe is still a better wrestler than Poatan, who is a novice and looks like a novice on the ground. He was so bad in the izzy fight that Masvidal called him "clueless", which was a good description. Alex looked like he did not know what to do on the ground against Izzy, so against jones he will be in some deep shark infested waters.
You are comparing an older fighter with an NCAA Division I wresting background, to a fighter who is clueless on that mat compared to jones. Stipe still has particularly good take down defense and is still a well rounded fighter, even at his age. Poatan is not, so unless his wrestling/grappling has gotten a lot better, it is not a fight worth shit. Even if he was proficient on the ground that would still be a tough fight for Alex against a guy like Jones. Who can now throw 12-6 elbows, which means if it hits the ground prepare to be assualted, and you better know what you are doing when he is on top of you.
