At this age Jones isn't going to be quick enough to impose wrestling at will and Pereira has developed a solid defensive ground game as well. I just don't see Jones surviving five rounds against this killer...

I feel like the only way Alex would steamroll Jones is if Jones was mentally gotten to. If he bought in to all of Alex's power, and speed, and strength, and chama, then he'd come into the fight already mentally gone. Especially after another long layoff.

But I do think Alex could have a shot at beating Jon, but more than likely he would be taken down immediately and submitted.

I'm confused by why so many people think Jones can just take Pereira down instantly and sub him, just because he did it to Gane.

There are also alot of fights where it didn't happen and where he struggled to get his opponent down, and went to decisions, and this is an older, slower version of Jones.

No he won't, because they won't fight. Jones is done. Dana won't risk booking him at White House and it's the only event Jones is interested in. He will retire again once he misses out on White House.

I will say that if Jon can't take Alex down, he's in huge trouble. Alex Pereira would easily be the best striker Jon Jones has ever faced.

But can Alex stop Jon's takedowns? I'm not convinced.
