PBF-Madonna 2 PPV numbers

Well, he has rather clearly the greatest resume, for what it's worth.

Is there a particular fight, that there's footage of, of him beating a great fighter? I'd like to see it and I'm open to changing my mind about him.

I'm not a boxing historian, so I couldn't tell you. But I know if you fight over 200 fights, many of which were 3 or 4 days apart, some of those guys are bartenders and gas station workers who fight for peanuts on the weekends.

I am really basing my opinions on watching him fight. He is quick, shifty, moves very fluidly, and always seems to have a higher ring IQ than the guy he's fighting. But he doesn't have the explosiveness of some of the modern guys I listed, and the guys he was fighting in those clips certainly don't look very impressive. I think Pacquiao would be overwhelming for him. Someone like Mosley would be as well (Mosley has a few pounds on him though).

Paulie Malignaggi couldn't knock out an 8 year old and he's one of the gutsiest fighters out there.

If Paulie Malignaggi had Floyd's power he'd knock out a hundred 8 year olds. Paulie has plenty of guts, but lacks punching power. Floyd has plenty of everything, but lacks the guts to turn it into a stoppage.

Pep beat Saddler but lost the series with him overall.

Can someone tell me who Rick Glaser is. He seems to have a hard on for PPV numbers and is claiming they are 700k and people agree with him like his word is better than anyone else.

NVM. Looked him up. Maybe he does have better info than but I can't see Iole and SI reporting bad numbers and risky there creditials.

With Canelo wanting to fight Cotto on May 2, Floyd had better pick a big fish or his ppv numbers will be poor, I don't think Khan cuts it?

I it will be Cotto at MW and a Cotto rematch should push him over 1mill.

Plus i swear I read somewhere were Floyd said he wanted Canelo on the under in Mexico City in a dual city broadcast. So no way Saul vs Cotto happens as a undercard bout.

I don't think there is any video of Saddler/Pep 2. There is footage of their 4th fight for sure and maybe even their 3rd where you can see Pep do some quality work against a fighter that routinely gets rated as the 2nd greatest FW of all time in Sandy Saddler.

Great FW but a bit of a can crusher. Super inflated record.

There were many cans on his record. Of course, I've seen estimates that put his amount of top 10 rated wins in the 40s (and that includes several wins against rated LWs giving up a fair amount of size). I believe Floyd has 22 or 23 rated wins, for comparison.

I'm sorry, but I think nostalgia comes into play quite a bit here. Watching this fight, you don't think a guy like Pacquiao would be too much him? Pep was a dirty fighter too, a lot of extracurricular stuff going on. Seano would want him DQ'd :)

Maybe. Of course, Saddler was better at a lot of things than Pacquiao, so it's hard to say how they'd clash stylistically. Pacquiao has faced very few, if any, fighters of a similar style to Willie Pep. Pep being dirty probably increases his chances against a fighter like Pacquiao.

Canelo was such a beast alright. Before he fought Floyd, he was beating the likes of Alfonso Gomez and Mathew Hatton!

Wow what a killer!!!

Maidana is heavy handed, not a KO artist. Gennady is a KO artist.

Dare to be great like fighting this small Asian guy or go to mw and fight Gennady.

Armstrong and SRL dared to be great and challenged for the mw crown.

Oh you mean like dare to be great like turn down drug tests that the other opponent was going to take. He didnt take that dare now did he lol

and move up to fight GGG that fight isnt even realistic hahaha
at 37 floyd doesnt need to dare to do shit and yes canelo is a beast.

Your trying really hard to discredit a time floyd moved up in weight to fight the undefeated champ.
Good job you are totally winning this debate btw

Im in the rare few that would rather see Manny fight Gennady

You realize Gennady is a full blown middleweight and Manny Pacquiao walks around at 142 pounds right? That would be the most irresponsible fight in the history of boxing. There are plenty of good fighters that these guys can fight in their own weight classes.

Funny you say that because people seem to forget the massive weight advantage when they suggest Mayweather/GGG.

Floyd has no business getting in the ring with GGG.

Floyd fighting GGG is the equivalent of Manny fighting Canelo. There is no reason to jump up 2 weight classes when there are good fighters around your own weight.

Lets say Floyd did fight and beat Golovkin. How long would it be before people accused him of ducking a fight with Andre Ward?
