Kevin Cole via Twitter Just confirmed with a source that Mayweather-Maidana II did 925k on pay-per-view. Blog post soon on @YahooSports

if true im quite surprised it got that high, even though Floyd is payperview King this fight wasnt something i thought would exceed 750,000

anything over that would be impressive let alone 925,000 Buys...Damn

"Showtime is projecting 925,000 buys for #MayweatherMaidana2, per industry source, a slight increase from the 900,000 the first fight."

huh

How about that?

Not bad, considering it wasn't promoted very well.

Boxing has a loyal following. Still can't see dropping 70 bucks on a fighter where there the outcome is already known to watch a glorified sparring session, but to each his own.

I guess you're just smarter than everyone else.

Like I said to each their own, his fights are predicable and lack drama. They resemble sparring. He needs to stop this whole best ever thing, the best fight the best and destroy competition. Floyd does zero damage, but is one of the best defensively of all time.

Waoooooo really surprised . Ppv king then I didn't see any hype till last minute.
No wonder Wanderlei4Life didn't post this lol

An undercard like the first fight would have sent this fight well over one million buys.

They got cheap and tried to squeeze profit on both ends.
Lower over head and higher prices.

I passed on this one for that reason (and fwiw i bought the first fight).

I don't disagree at all.

$70 pills for a boxing ppv?
I love boxing.... but I'd probably only get one PPV every year or so at that rate.

Even if the under card was terrible I would still buy the card if Mayweather was worth it. He's not, he dances around, puts on a defensive display, lands a clean punch or two a round and does zero damage. His fights are boring and predictable, anyone who says other wise is lying to themselves.

Good numbers. Hopefully with a cheaper undercard they made money this time.
