Patterson Gimlin Bigfoot Video

The problem is that Bigfoot's evolutionary path just doesn't make any sense. There are accounts of it in the Old World (Asia, Europe, Africa) like yeti and even in China. So, how did it get to the Americas? Are we to truly believe that it crossed the Alaskan land bridge? Or that it built boats?

Every other large mammal (lions, rinos, elephants, wolves, bison, humans ) crossed the land bridge, why not BF?

Is it really unbelievable that people who sell themselves on notions that cannot be disproven -- that they are impervious to logic and reason?

I have you some reasons in my post . Dispute those please.

I always thought it was odd that the bigfoot in the video has great big boobs.

Are you asking me to dispute your reasons? I can't.

My point is that this isn't a logic discussion. It's a rhetoric discussion.

As such logic will always be ignored, even though it shouldn't be. Trying to convince an opposing side of anything is largely impossible through logic alone. People get defensive, and as well they should: Bigfoot is really shaky ground and any believer would be correct to feel a little insecure about it.

This is what makes @BearGrounds so fascinating, because he's the only one who claims to have switched camps. I acknowledge that my approach to the topic has made it difficult for him to want to share how he changed his mind on something like Bigfoot, but I don't feel too bad never finding out. It's sort of like my Bigfoot, where I'm happy to leave behind a question mark.

Aside, what also fascinates me is how much stock people place in agreement and disagreement. Over Bigfoot. When it comes to unprovable phenomena, I tend to believe we're better off being challenged rather than entering an echo chamber, so it amuses me when people get butthurt when people don't agree. Again, on Bigfoot. It's not a context that engenders a lot of serious talk. But ayyyyyyyyyy.

Do you know how many bigfoot shows, documentaries come out every year for the past 30+yrs?

You have "bigfoot experts" in all of them and they can never produce no concrete evidence every year. It's the same old story.

Are people really this naive to continue to believe that there was a bigfoots? I guess they don't die huh? We can't find their bones but we find bones from the jurrasic era lol.

Unbelievable.
That's exactly why you won't catch me saying that whatever is in this video is a Bigfoot . You can't possibly make the presumptive leap in conclusion The only thing I can conclude on my end is that whatever it is isn't a dude in a suit.

to me, there are no absolutes in this because there is no real hard evidence. Patterson's background further muttles this but I almost find it amusing/entertaining

Like I said before, I call BS on just about every Bigfoot piece of evidence except this one

I truly don't see how any reasonable adult can look at that footage and come to the conclusion "there's no way that's a person in a monkey suit". I mean I get that half our country is retarded, but even a retard should be able to see that's clearly not a real animal.

That's what I find so incredibly interesting about this discussion because i feel exactly the same towards you

I've seen plenty of outside video 'evidence' of 'Bigfoot' and I can easily tell when I'm being fucked with the Freeman video is a prime example For whatever reason people tend to think that outside of PG, the Freeman video is next up as authentic. I watch that and I'm like WTF? Clearly a dude in a suit

The PG video is the only one where the subject is out in the wide open to virtually study I'm not going to repeat myself

if you're interested enough I encourage you to go down the MK Davis wormhole It's very compelling stuff and the dude has like 30 films of analysis on PG alone

It's really not compelling footage at all. Anyone with decent critical thinking skills can understand how clear of a fraud this video is. Have you even looked at the damned Wikipedia page on the background for this incident?

People who believe in this footage are the same type of people who would receive a phone call saying they need to go buy Visa gift cards to pay back taxes to a sheriff over the phone.

It makes me sad that grown adults genuinely believe in big monkeys running around the woods of North America.

It's as if you don't want to give it a chance

closed minded folk are even more sad

Peop.
If I attempted heresy Or secondhand information as a point of validation Your ilk would laugh me off the reservation

so why is it ok for you to rely on it? Just curious

The best part of these garbage sasquatch threads is I can count on Jgarner to come in lay the smackdown on these delusional believers in imaginary creatures.

I cringe so hard at that Cryptozoology bullshit , basically disrespecting the fossil record and legit paleo fossil finds.

Are you saying five rando youtube videos don't convince you to turn your back on established and verified research? Sounds like a someone doesn't wanna do his homework problem.

Your approach only made sharing it with you difficult, nobody else.

Ask whatever questions you want without trying to slide in your passive aggressive undertones, and I'm happy to answer.

I'm perfectly happy to give anything a chance. That doesn't mean I have to buy into any silly claim. I've looked at the footage. I've looked at the credibility and history of the men involved in the footage.

You're talking to a guy who believes in aliens for fucks sake. It's not like you can pretend I'm that closed minded when I'm telling you I believe in aliens. I just don't find anything about bigfoot sightings or footage to be credible. I also don't find UFO sightings to be very credible.

If I attempted heresy Or secondhand information as a point of validation Your ilk would laugh me off the reservation

so why is it ok for you to rely on it? Just curious

What hearsay or second hand information do you think I'm relying on? I'm using my own critical thinking skills to look at that painfully fake footage to determine its authenticity.

Here's an easy reason not to believe this stuff. What is the last new species discovered in the North American wilderness that's even remotely in the same size as the bigfoot claims? If there's so much unexplored wilderness for these creatures to allegedly hide in, then it should be easy to find another example of a previously undiscovered 400lb mammal being recently discovered.
