Media Paramount+ drops a super simple UFC explainer for new viewers (video)

Good stuff. Sometimes I get lost when the MMA purists start talking about fight nights and numbered cards, or women being champions (in slap sports they're all wonderful and equal in rank).

This is a good intro for a casual viewer like me who only watches #PowerSlap . Looking forward to more content like this 👌
Do any Slap fighting orgs allow backhand pimp slaps?

Bring back On the Mat with Marc Laimon!

Before we started doing BJJ, my friends and I learned how to do armbars, triangles, kneebars, and heel hooks from these...obviously by trying them out on each other Jackass style 😁

Who wins: Powerslap Heavyweight champion vs Paddy?
Great question!

While Paddy has a solid brace defense already, I think going against the Fedor of Power Slap is a bit much to ask of him. Damien Dibbell 50-43.

However, I do think he could beat paper-GOAT and current LHW champ Wolverine "Ron" Bata. Wolverine has a questionable chin, and if Paddy can figure out a way to exploit that early in the fight, I could see him winning by knockout.#andnew

Unfortunately no, but this does sound interesting. I could see this being like how Japanese BJJ and regular BJJ started to become different styles.

Sooo ur saying people train ufc so they can level up with fight nights to count higher and then u are mma and get movie contracts.. and they weigh you so that things are cheaper by the lb? Sounds complicated.

Little weird seeing it illustrated how one of the "red" (prelim) matches has a pair of fighters with an overall higher ranking than the 2 "blue" fighters headlining the event.

Also, I guess I always knew how much fight nights were falling in importance, but I guess I didn't realize belts are never featured on them anymore. What's the last championship defended in a fight night, Grasso vs Shev 2 in Sep 2023?

@BoxerMaurits
I'm watching you boy
