News Pacific Palisades fire in LA

Tom's still kicking? Listened to him for years back starting in high school lol

Yes he is and for awhile had a radio show/podcast pretty good.

He's not Trump fan at all and he loves So. Cal. so I can only imagine he much this hurts him.

That vid is insane to watch, it shows just how callous people can be.

This is the radio station that is NOT hosted by a right wing wacko or convicted felon. No, I am your host. Lol shit is burnt into my brain. Miss hearing him on the airwaves. Once he went online only quality suffered greatly

Another reason radio sucks now a day. His Leykis 101 was always fun to listen to.

Helicopter video showed in one cul de sac, a bunch of homes destroyed and next door one and others totally intact looking.

What about the middle class folks that got nothing, because insurance just BTFO’d them?

Yeah that's another potential powder keg. Especially with the Healthcare insurance ceo thing in NY happening recently.

FFS....is America under attack? Because how many worst case scenarios just happen to have played out in recent years?

Recently saw a post saying folks shouldn’t blame the insurance companies too much, but rather that they are the canaries miners used to use.

That if the insurance companies pull out of your areas, or stop covering certain things, it might be time to question the folks overseeing those areas or items, because if it’s big enough to scare insurance companies away, it certainly not healthy or safe for their customers.

It kinda makes sense when you think about it. A multi billion dollar company giving up essentially free money to “insure” people out of fear that what they are insuring is actually gonna happen.

Hung out with my friend last night cause he's staying in a hotel in San Diego after his house burned down in Palisades. (Which was actually his ex girlfriend's house)

Said insurance was cancelled a year ago and the only recourse is FEMA at this point.

But he's got no where to go now and he's Internet famous because he was on the news while rescuing his dog... Not making a dime off it. Dudes getting by off of GoFundMe. Guy was living across the street from Steve Guetenburg and now he's basically homeless.

Guess what I'm saying is, not everyone is rich in the Palisades.

Now did they drop just fire coverage, or the whole shebang?

My buddy is there now, and said the air is bad. I gotta tell ya, in the NC disaster with the floods, no one could have predicted that massive damage. Hurricanes can be devastating, but you can't really help mitigate the damage they cause. THESE FIRES on the other hand, seem like a massive fuckup by leadership. From the top on down. The insurance companies knew it was coming. History dictated it was going to happen. The weather was predicted and a known danger. And yet......budget cuts to LAFD? Not enough equipment due to no mechanics to fix it? Needing Scooper planes to come from Canada because you don't have them in the most fire prone area in the country? Hydrants not functioning or tested? All sorts of red tape from political environmentalists with smog certificates for trucks coming in from other areas? No evacuation plan with coordination between police and LAFD? No clearing of the dried dead brush before the winds came? All because they needed the budget to house homeless migrants? Now how many more homeless do you add to the mix after these fires? They weren't all rich celebrities. Many are blaming an inpet Fire Chief, but I think her hands were tied. This falls on the Mayor and the Govenor.

No matter if you are Republican or Democrat, Newsome is a problem and a true jerkoff.

Yeah, that was a red flag that could be seen from low earth orbit. As soon as the insurance companies pulled out, they should have known it was only a matter of time before they were facing an existential threat to the city. And they should have prepared accordingly.
