Trump and Biden are both offering nothing to the voters to address the current and upcoming eviction and economic crisis.

The difference is that republicans will loyally show up to the polls in the absence of policy offerings but half of the democratic party and the majority of independents dont vote without tangible policy substance.

Biden is going to do far worse than Hillary. Alot of independents and a good eighth of Democrats are going to vote green this time around. They are the only party offering Medicare for All, a green new deal, a fracking ban and free public college.

All of your calculations miss one thing: half of the country HATES Trump. The people who hate him are every bit as motivated to vote against him as his supporters are to vote for him.

I’m no political scientist, but it always seemed absurd to me that Trump tries to use protests against Biden while he’s the fucking incumbent. I know “liberal mayors are at fault” but he’s the fucking President. If he can’t fix it now why would anyone give him 4 more years to try?

2nd, I think Biden is doing a nice job addressing the issues. He’s said rioting is not protesting and they should be prosecuted. He said he’s not a socialist. He wants to be president to all Americans, not just democrats. Trumps attacks were successfully addressed.

And let’s be honest, Trumps record is fucking abysmal and we’re still in the middle of a crisis he failed to address. And his polling on handling the pandemic is terrible. If we have more spikes across the country after the holiday weekend I think he’s fucked.

It’s kind of sad that Trump has any chance at all to win. In a politically healthy society he would have resigned and if not, would have near zero chance.

If you don't think Joe Biden is a centrist, any sense of "center" you might have is completely batshit.

Biden has been endorsed by too many Republicans to name. Republican Governor and presidential candidate John Kaisich and Carly Fiorina. Former Republican cabinet members Chuck Hagel and Colin Powell. Republican Senators David Durenburger, Gordon Humphry, Jeff Flake, etc. Republican Representatives like Joe Walsh and Charlie Dent, etc. Over 100 McCain staffers and 30 Romney staffers have all endorsed Biden.

I suppose these are all radical liberals?

A new Emerson poll conducted just days after the Republican National Convention has Donald Trump trailing Joe Biden by just two percentage points, 49% to 47%. By comparison, the same poll conducted in July showed Trump trailing by four points, bolstering Republican claims of momentum after a successful convention. Overall, Biden currently leads Trump by 6.2 percentage points in the RealClearPolitics national polling average.

A particular bright spot for the Trump campaign in the Emerson survey is his support among African Americans: Trump wins the backing of 19%, after drawing just 8% support in the 2016 election. The RNC featured numerous African American speakers, including former pro football players Herschel Walker, Jack Brewer and Burgess Owens, as well as Georgia Democrat Vernon Jones, all testifying to Trump's character and policies as reasons for their backing.
