I wasn't particularly super impressed with Nagaowa performance, but it was a solid win for a pro debut though. Toshi looked horrible in the fight. She gassed minutes into the first round and really did nothing aside from clinching and trying to hold Nagaowa in a guillotine in the second round.
Has anyone posted the WMMA fights from RDC in Mexico from recent months or clips of the XFC WMMA fight in El Salvador?
How did this Four Horsewoman start - what is the basis of their relationship? I see Duke on the left, then Bazler and Rousey, but I can't make out who is on the right in that picture in the video.
I guess Leek answered part of one question, the other person is Marina Shafir.
There are a number of rumblings that the big announcement is coming very soon, maybe within the next 72+ hours. It would be weird for the announcement to happen during the weekend, not a good time to do an information dump on people.
So I figure sometime like Monday/Tuesday next week but who knows but the people preparing to give the announcement themselves. As Marq, of Wombatsports, has quipped today about it, "it has to be soon so these gals can get into a fight camp..."

I saw this on the Invicta FC Facebook page last night and decided to post it here.
Ashley "Doll Face" Greenway - New Invicta FC Fighter
Ashley Greenway… My first visit to Friday Night Fights was an exceptional day… I got to spend some time in the VIP section and watch a great Muay Thai event, not only that, but I was able to catch Ashley Greenway put on a performance inside the ring.. I’ve followed Ashley quite a bit and I finally got to see her fight… At the time Ashley was also an amateur MMA fighter that I developed a Facebook relationship with. I’ve been bringing up the idea of an interview for about two years and now as she finally makes her way to her pro career, I feel it’s time we learned a little more about her…
Vanessa Porto has expressed a desire to fight in the UFC at bantamweight on twitter.
She really put the smack down on Ana Maria India last month at 135. Looked good.

Looks like Romanian Extreme Fighting has three women fighting in the Bantamweight Division. All of the women I noticed on their YouTube videos I posted in the previous thread but I found a link to their Women's Division so I figured I'd post it.
Roxana Crisan (0-2-0) RO 19yrs old. Appears to be very new to martial arts, started training MMA just a number of months ago, or so.
Alice Ardelean rocking the sexy glasses training ... thing ...
Gets Ardelean the win over Crisan.
I started watching a few of Ardelean's matches and noticed a fight I have "seen" before but hadn't actually watched due to thinking it was an ammy MMA fight, not that I don't watch those but there is a limit to how much time I can devote to keeping up with fighters.
I hadn't been able to find it listed as a pro fight by the pro fighter, out of Hungary, Lilla Vincze, who is listed as 2-3. Checking the date, even if it is a 2x5 round fight but having been fought in March of 2012 it should be a pro fight. Halfway thru Vincze's pro MMA career and plenty of pro fights in Europe are only 2x5 rounds, not unlike how some US states only allow 3x3 rounds even for pros.
I'm halfway finished watching it so I don't know the end yet. So far it has been a dominant, one-sided, affair for Alice Ardelean.
I decided to post the fight in case people are interested and if anyone can tell say whether this is, indeed, an pro fight or an ammy fight. I'm remembering a conversation I had a year and a half ago about whether there was a pro, or ammy, event in Eastern Europe back then. It was first said to be a pro event then later said to be an ammy event but I'm not sure if this is it or not.
I'm treating the event as pro for the moment but in spoiler tags so as not to junk up my post.
Alice Ardelean(2-0-0) RO vs. Lilla Vincze (2-4-0) HU
(I've noticed that Alice Ardelean is often listed as Ardelean Alice, I'm using the form used after translation from the RXF site as my guide in this.)

It started when Shayna went out to trane with Duke, Marina and Ronda. Shayna was going through a rough time and we pushed her to go out to Cali to get a new perspective and bit of traneing in. After she was there for a few weeks she decided to take Ronda's offer of letting her stay at her beach house. Once there it was a joke thrown around.. now? SERIOUS BUSINESS.
I saw that interview. Good to see it getting some more exposure. I remember someone else mentioned it on this thread or the previous one.
I'm looking forward to Kianzad's fight. I meant to check to see if there is a stream but got caught up when I remembered to try and figure out what is the story behind the Romanians I was posting about last night.
This link suggests that you might be able to get the event on PPV in the US and other countries. 2PM EST. Check your listings but Pannie Kianzad vs. Annalisa Bucci is on the undercard so you won't see it from what I can tell.
I've seen a few of her ammy fights. She has some good wins. Since she has been doing ammy I've not followed her closely but I could swear I've seen her listed to go pro at least once.
I'll poke around and see if I can find out what I am thinking about and give it a reference. Maybe Tapology has a fight cancelled, or maybe it was an ammy fight people were unsure if it was pro until close to fight time.
Her win over Gina Begley was something that caught my eye. Begley has a win over the very capable Shannon Sinn (Previously Culpepper) when she was an ammy. Sinn just picked up her first pro win this last week.
Top woman amateur martial arts fighter training in Kenilworth to go pro

KENILWORTH — Katlyn Chookagian, one the top women’s amateur mixed martial arts fighters in the country, is turning professional, and a large part of her success comes from her training at a gym in Kenilworth.
Chookagian’s coach Jamal Patterson, a former mixed martial arts fighter himself, has his protege doing a good portion of her workouts at the Allstar BJJ/MMA gym on Swenson Drive. MMA is an acronym for mixed martial arts, while BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Recently turned 25 years old, Chookagian has an unbeaten 7-0 record over the course of her roughly year-and-a-half-long amateur career. She holds amateur titles in three states.

How much stock do you put in these rumblings that it is Fight Pass? That seems to be the only thing with any buzz. Sherdog's Greg Savage and FrontRowBrian have said Invicta will be on Fight Pass and that is the big announcement. Nothing else has been leaked though.
Could happen. Kianzad got the win*, not surprised about that due to how she has fought against Dudieva and Lina Akhtar Lansberg. Bucci, like Lansberg, is an accomplished TM fighter and Kianzad was able to control Lansberg in the clinch fairly well, much like she did against a solid grappler in Dudieva.
Lansberg was impressive in the loss though.
I'm looking forward to catching Kianzad vs. Bucci when I can. (Too busy to try to see it today.)
Annalisa Bucci may have her work cut out for her on 23 May against Maria Hougaard Djursaa as Djursaa can be a very tough opponent when she is on her game. Earlier in Djursaa's career you never knew who was going to show up, too inconsistent but she has been fighting very well lately.
(On a side note regarding Pannie Kianzad. One of the first interviews I read about her she described how she enjoyed combat sports but kept coming up short in fights against the top people in a given field, it left her wanting to try a new combat sport to see if she would be better at it after giving a good go at the previous interest. Each time she knew about some new skills she found herself wanting to do something that the new sport wouldn't allow. In boxing she wanted to kick, in MT/kickboxing she wanted to take down or ground and pound, in bjj she wanted to ground and pound, etc.
It wasn't until Kianzad encountered MMA she could finally do all of the things she had been wanting to do, at a given time and circumstance, in a combat sport and has felt at home with her emerging fighting style.)
* Thanks thatdude21601 for the update.
Vanessa Porto interested in moving down and joining UFC? I wouldn't mind a Porto vs. Gadelha fight in Brazil during the summer.
Porto seems to want to fight at 135 again in the UFC. She has been invited to a number of XFCi events too, even sat in on the Faria vs. Sucevic fight on their invite. (I was thinking WSOF but it was XFCi, although it might be WSOF was also courting her too. I'll double check.)
If what Thirdpress is saying is accurate than I would expect an announcement on the mma hour on Monday or if Invicta and the UFC are teaming up to do something on tv I would expect it on UFC Tonight
