Reallly shcoked how a 105'r like hill got so much press at 1-0 as a pro at the tuf tryouts. Nothing against her skill but we are putting her at a level with some of the other straweights. 115 wrestlers/grapplers would have their day with her for an easy mmatchup

If what Thirdpress is saying is accurate than I would expect an announcement on the mma hour on Monday or if Invicta and the UFC are teaming up to do something on tv I would expect it on UFC Tonight

I was thinking that if it is Fight Pass it might be announced on UFC Tonight. The only reservation I have about that possibility is that UFC Tonight is a FOX show that exclusively covers the UFC. It's a FOX show, not a Zuffa show.

Maybe if Invicta will be on FS1. That is a possibility. FOX loves WMMA.

Summery of interview.

* Had the belly-dancers to celebrate the women in MMA.

* Had trained mentally to fight calm.

* Felt that her opponent was strong in the clinch. Not strong as in upper-body strong, but strong in the knees and hips.

* Tried to pass her opponents guard since she knew that Bucci had submitted people off her back before.

* Bucci had very strong body-kicks. It drained Pannie of all her energy. She wasn't there in the third round. Pannie described it as Bucci demolishing her intestines.

* Pannie said she has been an MMA-judge previously so she knew she had won the fight.

* Pannie says that she will try to move down a weight-class. This means no more chocolate. Lamentations ensured.

* Last words. UFC! BELT! MINE!

Thanks for the translation, in summary. I managed to follow that a little bit just piecing together the English and those words that have commonality between the greater language group.

I particularly picked up on when Kianzad talked about Bucci's kicks and the UFC. Good stuff.

I read another interview from Kianzad, she said she suffered some damage to her ribs during the fight from Bucci's kicks.

Thanks again.

Earlier this evening I noticed that Kianzad, on her Facebook page, is asking her fans where she should fight next. Several are suggesting Invicta while at least one suggesting she should get a few fights in Cage Warriors before looking towards Invicta.

Kate Da Silva won the Princess of Pain 60kg Women's Tournament. Congrats!

I was looking for a picture to post of the event(s) but haven't found one yet. I'll post one when I find it.

Another big win for another fighter on the move toward the UFC or Invicta in the not too distant future, or so I hope.

Been looking for picturess of some of tonight's fights, etc., but not that much luck so far.

Katie Howard choked her opponent unconscious (RNC) late in the second round. Congrats to her too.

She seems to be ok.

Ouch. That sucks. I'm glad Kaufman seems to be okay.

"Thanks for the concern. I'm a bit sore but no major injuries. Probably sore tomorrow morning though. More pissed than anything."

Agnieszka Niedzwiedz ‏@NiedzwiedzMMA 5h
I will fight in Poland once again! June 8th on Fighters Arena 9! Soon you will know who my rival will be! #stayundefeated

She is already 6-0 with 5 finishes and 19 yo. Good that she's staying busy.

Great news!

That's the best thing now for WMMA: not exclusive contracts (except UFC) and get fights with 2 good promotions.
For Niedzwiedz are Cage Warriors and we'll c, hopefully KSW.
For Kowalkiewicz are KSW and Invicta FC.
For Inoue are Deep Jewels and Invicta FC.

Good for Niedzwiedz. She crushed Gemma Hewitt in her last fight. I've been keeping an eye on her since her first pro fight, she keeps improving.

She's by far the most impressive female fighter I've seen in Europe in a while. Super talented at 19

Anyone know where I could find footage of Jessica penne v zoila gurgel?

Agreed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the UFC before too long. I think she would be competitive, or better, with the lower level fighters they have at the moment.

On the other hand I wouldn't mind her getting another fight, or two, outside the UFC but with a step up in competition to get a sense of where she is at by comparison.

Based on her previous performances she ought to do well no matter where she goes if she keeps up good training and development as she has been doing.

I didn't follow but, wasn't invicta suppose to have big news over the weekend what was it?

and with Claudia out I see jojo, Carla and maybe Torres having serious chance to win this. I think Carla is most advantages in this format she isn't big or small so weight cut isn't issue and being a strong wrestler can dictate where the fight take place so don't need to adjust to each opponent as much while real coaches are away.
Did Pene try for tuf 20 didn't see her interview?

is jojo ready? will she have trouble with the weight cut. (she is one of the bigger 115er right)

anyways rooting for her and hope she wins!

Not during the weekend but the speculation and hints are that an announcement is coming this week.

Last week was most likely out due to Invicta's partners not wanting to compete with TUF 20 news but that is speculation again.

Of the known participants Joanne, Carla, and Torres are amongst the most likely winners with Namajunas a decent fourth wheel dark horse. One bit of news is that the UFC kept 20 people for another round of checking out as they were very impressed with the quality of people who tried out. Whether that will translate into a change in plans from those announced in an open question.

Such a change could involve having 16 fight each other to get the free 8 spots while another 4 fight each other for the 2 alternate spots. Total speculation here but it could be an exciting twist to what the established plan is, 10 chosen 8 participants and 2 alternates.

Did Pene try for tuf 20 didn't see her interview?

Penne tried out. She came in second on the number of submissions in the grappling segment of the tryouts, behind Aisling Daly.

Thanks for the info. I haven't been checking the forum as often but I see that your back and as always the best and most informative poster in wmma thread. I agree with Namajunas being the 4th dark horse.

You're welcome. Let's look forward to good news this coming week.

Wow!!
Didn't knew that Daly was so good on the ground.

Also she used to fight @ FLW for a life ... I remember her more for her weird footwork and the record with a W against Jessica Eye.
