Curious to know what you think. It’s the last sub mission in episode 4. They’re three full on mini-bosses.

I had zero time to even really think about weapon arts. I just ended up having to use the terrain to LOS them and hope no more than one came chasing me. The only real opportunity to do anything were parries and getting some iframes off of a stunned attack. Just awful.

Ok, I know what you’re talking about now. I’ve seen it but haven’t gone there yet. I will report back. I think they knew how cheap being overcrowded was so they gave you a companion.

There’s no companion lol.

That was terrible, got through it with zero flasks but did it. This game is just not well suited for multiple enemies, much less three mini-bosses at once. One is constantly chasing you down, another is constantly chucking fire bombs at you, and the other is either bull rushing you or taking potshots with his bow.
The most frustrating thing to me was that every time you stagger one of the three it’s incredibly difficult to actually land your critical blow because the others are so aggressive. At least they didn’t have too much health

I just beat chapter 4. Taking a break for a day or so to do some psvr2 .Pretty happy with the progress I made thus far.

Yeah, balancing aggression without getting bullied was annoying as hell. I started having success when I stopped trying to single one out and just took what they threw at me.

A high skill fight this wasn’t. Just annoyance lol.

Is this game a little too easy? Ive been doing 1 mission a day, and I just did the
tiger boss after Lu bo area

I just finally checked the map and Im blasting through, didnt even know there were other missions, just been doing main story.

Like its the easiest souls game yet...

Its so consistent in the combat with the parry timings.

Ok the game actually is dog shit. Relying on parrying to do damage and the ever increasing boss health pools grows tiresome. Get something to a sliver of health and miss a parry and you're restarting, Boring dog shit gameplay.

I love the moral system, but I guess it's there to make it easy if you want.

I'm always around 20 and higher when I face the area boss, never from farming, just exploring and rarely dying. I've had little issue so far, save the first tutorial boss.

I just whooped the magic guy in area three I believe. I also find this pretty easy comparitively to other Souls games, especially Nioh.

Anyone else playing this on PC?

I've had several crashes, and some wild framrates, regardless of settings. I hear a patch is incoming.

There's a really annoying flashing bug, but if you turn off ambient occlusion, it solves the issue. The game always turns it on by default though. That's like seizure inducing!

I may wait for a patch, as the crashing and performance is pretty annoying.

In the meantime, for Nioh 2 players, is there a similar move list we can unlock for each weapon? I haven't even dabbled in the magic system yet, but I have a lot of points to aollocate.

Does anyone know what's goin on in the story, I have no clue what's going on. i'm playing dubbed version, the voice acting is 80's anime bad, but in a funny way. The fat guy on area 3 is a madman, what the hell is happening lol

After trying the steam demo, I'm going to wait a month for more pc optimization.

Control didn't feel great with keyboard and mouse, wasn't able to remap keybinds (maybe that's just the demo) and the demo is crashing.

Gotta say, I will never understand how anyone can get used to M/KB controls on third person action games, no matter how well they're implemented. They just seem built for controllers. Seems like you'd have to one hell of typist to keep up.

Hard to say. Sekiro and Wo Long share the most DNA. I think Sekiro’s combat is the most punishing but probably the best implemented out of all of them. There’s no grinding levels or anything in Sekiro so it’s really you and your skill. It’s super crisp and responsive. One of my favorites.

Wo Long relies a lot on parrying as well but so far I’d put it a solid tier below Sekiro. It’s tough but I feel like there are more ways to overcome the challenge. Setting is pretty cool though and a decent change up.

Ghosts of Tsushima is an open world action oriented game. I’ve been told it’s similar to newer Assassin’s Creed titles. Not as tough as the previous games but I thought the story was engaging, the combat was good enough, and I loved just exploring the world on horseback. It’s a really beautiful world.

Sekiro and GoT are both pretty cheap by now so maybe take a shot at one of those. Like I said, hard to say without knowing your gaming preferences.
I think I'll give this a shot after Sekiro. Might be a minute though since Owl Father is currently pushing my shit in.

Did Elden Ring with mouse and keyboard.

But I may also be crazy.

Whatever works for you. It just seems so awkward to me, unlike M/KB control for FPS games, that fit like a glove.

he loves it...

dw its just him ventin.
I'm at the squid cow and the fight feels like a slog. I'm not sure if I'm underleveled or what. Even my crits seem to be low damage and my regular attacks are tickling the boss. I even sent my companion away because she'd take aggro and I'd miss an opportunity to parry. Got within one parry of victory and lost.

Me too, i usually fully explore and collect everything. Thats whats amazing about the system. It encourages exploration and rewards you with damage against tough enemies.

Game runs great for me on PC outside of the odd white flash. But I hear the gamepass version is better than the steam version. Make your volumetric cloud setting to normal, etc. Should fix some crashes I hope.

Maybe its cause I can get my head around this combat but I enjoying this so much.
