Wasnt talking about the difficulty of the boss. The level is ass. Like I cant believe it made it into the final game. That london prision shit is so bad.

I havent really used the crafting system. I just been levelling up my sabre and shredding lol. I rarely use the magic, and I use the default summon.
Dunno if Ill NG+ due to new releases but ill finish everything hopefully. Unless NG+ has new shit.
Ya know I don't even count that as the first level and forgot how dog shit it was. At least the boss dies at half health. I was speaking about the shore town with the boss on the boat.

To my knowledge ng+ is when gear synergy really kicks in and you can just buttfuck everything with the right set up. Like graces in Nioh.

Didnt finish Nioh. Ive beaten the past 3 bosses in 1 try, this game is so easy for a soulslike imo. Dont know if NG+ is worth it, but i like the game a lot, so maybe.

Wo Long, at least to me, seems to be weirdly balanced. Some levels I can just cruise through and others take more elaborate planning. These are excluding the cramped areas like the sewers. I’ve ran into this issue over and over.

And while I enjoy the parry system, I’m still favoring burst counters in Nioh 2. Burst Counters were obviously where Team Ninja migrated their party system since they’re both technically parry’s. It’s just the Burst Counters felt like they had more weight and were much cooler looking.

But I agree with you, I’ve never ran through a soulslike this quickly and easily, ever. Nioh 2 was much more difficult in bosses, levels and enemy variety.

Snake bitch is easy on paper but then doesn't do any critical attacks and bores you to death. Another amazing boss. There is absolutely input reading to try and catch you in a combo before they do a critical attack also.

This gank fight seems easy enough. If I travel do I lose my place in the level? I'm at the boss but I feel if I upgrade my weapon I could one shot these idiots

Wrapped it up last night. Once again I consistently fail to look at anything in my inventory that’s not upgrade materials. Right before I hit the final stages I unloaded all of my QI and gained around 450k or so. I used nothing else beside my Dragon upgrades, smithing materials and Qi.

Overall, I enjoyed the game. I like the morale system but I feel it made the game really easy. Getting to lvl 25 wasn’t that difficult and makes you pretty OP as you move up the ranking. The 1v1 battles were fun for the most part but there was a lot (A TON) of walk n block going on. The parry system was fine, however, they really needed different parry situations. Sekiro didn't just revolve around sword play, they also forced Mikiri and jump counters. Wo Long had none of these and the parry was able to counter every single attack in the game outside of unblockables. This led to bosses and 1v1 encounters becoming shallow.

Stance switches, Burst counters and a Parry would make for an excellent game, imo. I felt the Nioh 2 bosses were not only more challenging, but they were much more unique in their design and attack patterns.

I want to restate, I did really enjoy the game for what it was, I just feel there is a lot of room for improvement. Maybe we'll see more counter options down the line.

Lui Bei, btw, was CHEAP!

Apparently this game is selling like crap, dropped to 33 in UK after just one week. Yikes! Looks like GamePass is really destroying sales on video games. How do you think think is going to impact the industry going forward guys? Personally, I'm not very optimistic about a subscription based future.

DLC and post game will definitely change some things. Team Ninja has always added a new difficulty level for each expansion. I don't mind having the initial playthrough easy. Maybe they looked at the atrocious completion rates of the Nioh games and decided they want to have more people see the end game. Its got to feel kind of shitty as a developer to do all that work and then have 14% of people see it.

I agree with you, Im only upgrading my weapon, and not really using anything outside of the parry. Im not experiementing with weapons, and I havent even changed my outfit since the first hour. Its an incredibly easy title for a soulslike. I cant get into the Nioh combat, and honestly the level design for these games are too basic. The main thing I miss is the level design of From games.

I love the combat and bosses here though, just a fun action title imo. It met what I expected, and im having fun.

Dont look at it like that. The publishers did analysis and thought whatever Microsoft was payin for gamepass would make up for the shortfall in sales. Gamepass is amazing for teh consumer and publisher....its MS thats putting up a huge risk.

It all depends on how much MS paid them really. I like GP and I save a lot of money but I do worry about how it will affect the quality of games in the future if the industry continues to move in that direction. Oh well no stopping it now all we can do is wait and see what happens.

Yea, it didn't bother me. It just felt quick. I don't like games being hard just to be hard. That more often than not leads to a frustrating experience.

Late game I aimed to have armor and weapons that synergize well with each other. I ended up doing a Wood + Fire build. And I agree, it was a fun action title that I was excited to play every time I picked up the controller.

When is the last time you gave Nioh 2 a chance?

The boss fights have been great so far but the rest of the game just feels like filler. I guess that's "soulsborne" in a nutshell.
