There was an article on the front page of Sherdog saying Bovada got cracked for over a million dollars and some dude won 48 grand off 1$ parlay.

How do you guys think that guy got paid out? Does he get taxed somehow since its in the limelight like that?

That's the fucked up thing about betting. If you are bringing in a decent amount, are you declaring it on your taxes? If you are, have fun with that if you gamble in a state where it's illegal.

I just looked at 12thman's betting tips for last event. If I calculated right, he had a loss of 6.85 units. I have no idea how he thinks he's going to have a 20% ROI this year. I'm pretty sure he's sitting at 4% or less right now.

As other people have stated, that was free advertising.

I don't doubt they lost money but books love those "dummy" parlays.

I'm sure parlay wolf was buried. He didn't tweet again after the Gibson fight, and I'm guessing Gibson was one of his "anchors". I'm almost positive he went 0% or else he'd be blabbing on twitter. I don't really follow to see how Luca does. I'll give Luca credit though - at least he posts his results quick even if he loses.

I use 1% of bank roll represents 1U but with exceptions.

If my bankroll is $100. My Unit is $1.00.
If my bankroll is $99. My unit is still $1.00

Unless I lose 20% or gain 40% of my BR I do not change unit size.

Ah ok this seems like a good basis. Ty Tebowned. SO far I had just been betting mostly on parlays and I had doubled my bankroll a few times before losing it all. Trying a more slow approach.

I find MMAoddsbreaker pretty good for picks, they have good articles about a lot of the fights. They also don't always just pick the favourite to win.
