Herman knows he'll never get back into the UFC, and even when he was in the UFC, you can't say that he looked good in any of his fights. Herman will be able to get multiple fights in smaller organizations around the world just off of his name, and the fact that he's now a "UFC veteran," which is something any organization is more than willing to pay for.

No idea what Starnes has to offer but, I hope he knocks out Herman. I'd rather Starnes win via submission since Herman thinks BJJ doesn't work.

Good eye MMA Goodfella. I posted a link to that odd Dave Herman interview yesterday evening here in the thread (although I didn't embed it like you did) and mentioned that he didn't seem to be taking training seriously but no one seemed to take notice. I actually ended up adding a second full unit on Starnes today at +130 to the unit I already had on him at +155.

Seems like that might've been an awkward knock on Starnes's famous fight with Quarry and Herman just decided to never actually get serious or give real answers.

If you are seriously throwing darts, I would be shocked if you dont lose in the long run and by long run I mean years. I dont even think its possible to be a long term winner in more than 2 sports let alone like 5 lol. anyhow good luck with that :icon_chee

So is Tito fighting at LHW this weekend? I have to wait till weigh Ins to see how Tito looks, but yes I will also be making a 3 unit wager on Tito. People are severely underrating Tito while overrating Alex.

C'mon Crewman, you think I really throw darts? Gimme a break.

And I track all my bets (on here) and I'm definitely a longterm winner.

Mind giving me your plays for tonight?

Lol, gimme an hour A and I'll get em' to you.

Do NOT play Herman!

It's easy to pick out my questionable bets, because I track everything. But it's also pretty easy to hide behind a forum username. I remember you were pretty huge on Big Nog beating Roy Nelson just a few weeks ago and that was one of the stupidest picks I've seen in recent memory. We all make mistakes.

Everyone has bad picks, it's the long term record that matters and we're both probably pretty good, so get off your high horse.

If you go back and watch King Mo's last 3 fights and Rampage's last 3 fights, I literally have no idea how you could pick King Mo to win this fight.

I don't know why you decided to make this so personal. Your breakdowns are also extremely one sided and I'm just trying to give to give another perspective on how this fight is likely to play out.

I thought this was a discussion forum, not a bitchfest.

Man up, quit making things personal and concentrate on the damn fights...
First off, t's not about picking wrong sides, we ALL do that from time to time, my point was to show you that you shouldn't talk in definites. That you had just made plays by speaking in absolutes and they failed spectacularly.

Second, my b/d's are never one sided man, I write fucking novels to give both fighters their dues, but clearly you'll ultimately come down on one side or the other.

Being one sided would be betting against Hendo then freaking out on the loss saying: "Dan “I stick needles in my ass” Henderson defied all odds on Sunday night when he defeated Shogun with a knock down blow. I don’t often swear in my articles, but this fight was absolute bullshit. I am EXTREMELY happy that TRT is gone and we will never have to deal with juiced up fighters and their ungodly power ever again. People might feel I’m being a little harsh on a “legend”, but I honestly have no time for cheaters. There’s no way that a 44 year old man, with grey hair should be able to get knocked down with punches twice and recover so fast that they are able to knock down another fighter with a powerful punch less than 5 minutes later. It’s absolute bullshit and it’s cheating. Dan Henderson didn’t win this fight, performance enhancing drugs did."

Lastly, I don't hide behind the keyboard, my bets are tracked too. It's just that unlike you I don't have a website that I spam on Sherdog so I can get paid by the clicks.

But again, my whole point was to advise you not to speak in absolutes. That. Is. All.
Wow, Dave Herman is insane. He is either delusional, or he really doesn't give a fuck about winning and is simply not putting in any serious effort. Or he's fooling us all.

Trigg was pissed too.

jesus christ. ok, little more on starnes

Yea, I immediately went at put $200 on him. He may lose, but after that interview, I'd never play Herman!

Made another tiny action parlay of Harris + Foster + Held/Jolly under 1.5

Herman has been saying stuff like that his whole career, I dont think I have ever seen him being serious in an interview before.

I know people said he was just joking around when he made fun of bjj, which would make sense if hes saying that to nog I guess

You guys are lucky seriously if my bookie had Titan FC betting I would have maxbet Herman already. Multiple times.

Kountermove freerolls for Cage Cash and Fury fight picks are on Twitter.

I only have internet on my iPhone so I can't copy and paste links.

Ok, thus far on Titan FC I like

Davis $50 // $55
Linderman $50 // $72
K. Starnes $200 // $260

Parlay
DNR/Jardine o1.5 + Foster $25 // $30

I like Raphael Davis to beat Jason Brilz in the Main-Event tonight. More or less I see it as a dog or pass situation and we're getting dog money on the Brazilian. Pretty much, Brilz is a "Jack of all trades Master of None", he is a gritty grinding type fighter in the mold of a Jason Lambert. If Brilz can ground his opponent and work his smothering top game, he's in great shape, but f he's forced to stand he unravels. Unfortunately for Brilz, in Davis he'll be facing a fighter with respectable grappling and heavy hands, a fighter who most likely can keep things vertical and force Brlz into a firefight. Moreover, Davis has on his resume those big scalps Brilz has never been able to get; those names were Vinny Magalhaes and Emanuel Newton. Currently Davis is training out of Reign MMA and looks to be improving having won 3 straight and 11 of his last 12 fights. In this fight I expect Davis to make Brilz trade with him & exploit his striking where he will ultimately put the American to sleep.

EDIT: Oh, I'm also Linderman guys, I think if you wanna bet Harris go with the u1.5 @ -125 as opposed to -170 SU b/c Harris has an atrocious gas tank. I think Linderman can withstand the early barrage and grind out a gassed Harris in rnd's 2 & 3.

I'm not comfortable on ANY OF THESE so if you tail, do it small.

I guess we only disagree because I also consider King Mo a sub par fighter, whereas you give him more credit. It's been a long ass time since he did anything remotely impressive, I think King Mo is a very poor fighter.

Mo admittedly didn't look good in his last fights, especially against Newton, but he's definitely not a can. I also think he's a much better fighter than Joey Beltran.

Could Rampage catch him? Sure. King Mos' defensive boxing isn't great, but neither is Baders.
He got knocked down by Tito and hit a few times by Perosh while Rampage couldn't land nothing significant on him.

At the current odds and considering the question marks surrounding Rampage I like King Mo for a small bet.

That's Titan FC not Legacy, but yeah, Kalib Starnes all the way! $200 for me is a big bet on one fight.

No, I gotta give you credit JG; I saw the link you posted and opened it yesterday intending on reading it but forgot, then the link was still open & I listened. I just couldn't remember who posted it. Thx!

Herman is insane.

Herman may win just due to all the physical advantages he hold; if he weren't so kooky, I'd bet him too.

FYI, the Titan FC 28 prelims just started on CBSSports.com at 8:30 pm EDT. Stephan Bonnar and Faras Zahabi are commentating with someone else. Three online fights are scheduled in the hexagon. As opposed to the UFC's octagon or the WSOF's decagon, lol. Decent stream quality too although the window controls at the bottom are annoying.

First bout on the Titan FC 28 prelims is called a "No Decision" due to accidental knee strike to the head. Could have easily been ruled a DQ against the debuting Uruguayan.

Thanks for the picks/writeups GF! I tailed you half-blindly for .5U on Davis, Linderman and the parlay and put down 1U on Starnes - that Dave Herman interview was bizzare indeed. It almost makes one want to see Starnes beat some sense into him, but I guess that's proved impossible already :P

Best of luck to everyone betting tonight!

UFC vet (briefly) Pedro Nobre wins a dominant decision against Dan O'Connor.

Also for you Starnes bettors, the commentators just said that Kalib weighed in at eight pounds heavier than Dave Herman, not lighter! He also looked really relaxed back stage as opposed to Dave Herman in the brief clips they just showed.
