i'd play the over before the under in that one, and might do just that...

i was thinking of small bets on davis & the over. if brilz wins, it's likely going to be a decision. davis could touch that chin, but i think w/brilz good wrestling, it'll be difficult for davis to go all out and really hurt him (cause he'll be scared to get taken down)

but i kinda like the combo of davis & over, because it'll be hard to lose both.

...just convinced myself, betting that, hehe. (like 0.4u and 0.5u)

yea I'm hoping davis catches brilz's chin. small play

rampage did not look bad against mpumby and beltran, he was just sizing them up waiting for the perfect time to throw. Its smart what he did, he waits till the end of the round to throw his bombs that way if he dosent knock them out he can catch his breath in the round break.

I think if you put the same amount of money both on Tito and King Mo, to profit you only need 1 of them to win, I would be surprised if you don't profit.

Say what you want about Mo I do believe he shows heart and determination. He may not be fighting at his best since the staff infection but he doesn't give up.

Yo yo yo my fellow degenerate e-brahs.

Haven't had time follow the thread too much(took a mma judging course today of all things).

What do you guys think of the following bets
Brock Jardine
Rafael Davis
Walt Harris
Dave Herman
Brian Foster(A fade of Smith more or less)

Richman
tito Over 1,5
Shamwow Over 1,5
King Mo (small)
Volkov

I can't believe so many people are betting King Mo to beat Rampage.

King Mo has looked TERRIBLE since his Staph Infection in every single second of every single fight.

He also spoke to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour last week about how he finds fighting psychologically difficult to cope with.

He said he gets anxious and paranoid over getting cut, because he is constantly in fear of developing another infection.

I believe King Mo is still fighting because he needs the money and there's nothing else he can do.

Rampage is going to come out aggressive, stuff King Mo's take downs and break his will.

If Rampage busts King Mo up with a few nasty punches in the first round, can you honestly say that King Mo has the heart and determination to keep fighting?

I think some of you guys are easily swayed by attractive odds. King Mo to win is a bad bet whichever way you dress it up.

How you speak in such definitive terms as if you have the luxury of a crystal ball is beyond me. Given your history, I would think you would be wise to realize that speaking in absolutes is a quick way to lose your money and look foolish all in the same night.

I mean, saying "Rampage is going to come out aggressive, stuff King Mo's take downs and break his will" as if you know for a fact that this will happen flies in the face of some of your other definitive bets and statements. i.e. :

You bet Phil Davis over Rumble, Myles Jury over Diego Sanchez and then the most insane bet I've possibly seen a "pro" capper make is Mike Easton to beat TJ Dillashaw. :icon_surp In fact, not only did you BET on Easton to win (which would have been semi-forgivable given his odds) but you went as far to say:

"Mike Easton is a beast at Bantamweight. He’s never been finished in 16 career fights and he’s one of the most powerful, well rounded fighters in the division. He will be TJ Dillashaw’s toughest test in the UFC and this is a fight that Easton should win comfortably. .... Mike Easton is bigger, stronger and faster than Dillashaw and has an advantage over Dillashaw in almost any area this fight takes place. He’s more athletic, more explosive, has better striking, better wrestling and excellent take down defence. ... I’m shocked that the UFC betting lines have Dillashaw as the favourite in this fight, because I don’t see any way that he can beat Easton. Take advantage of the great value odds available at Bovada and put some money on Easton to win."

There's crazy, and then there is straightjacket certifiably insane crazy, and the above statements are definitely the latter. Truth be told, I couldn't believe what you wrote so I had my cat read it to be certain. I got her reaction:

Again, be careful thinking you know what will happen as opposed to what is possible to happen.

Mind giving me your plays for tonight?

Still sitting out for the most part, but I made two shits and giggles plays:

Volkov + Kongo: $2.50 to win $4.21
Jardine/Roberts over 1.5 + King Mo +3.5 points handicap: $2.50 to win $4.31

Great now you can gamble on the fights you are judging ;)

Will you be judging any shootfighting fights, I have one coming up..

If you have a fight tomorrow then I might be assigned to your fight. However only as an "unofficial" judge as I am not licensed yet.

Good luck tomorrow as well, what gym do you train out of?

And Rampage was essentially outstruck by Bader when he couldn't fend off td's. For years Rampage has been slow as fuck and fighting i straight lines; just winging hooks that a blind man can see coming. There's no shame in being outstruck by Newton, he's not in the UFC obviously, but Newton is a damn good fighter; prolly the best LHW not in the UFC right now. You can slice it & dice it any way you want, but Rampage is no 2-1 favorite over Mo, and I fucking hate Mo. People are being prisoners of the moment, they're letting Rampage's prior two performance cloud their judgement.

Fair enough but I think Bader is a pretty good fighter with underrated striking, he almost ko'ed Glover in the first round of that fight, I actually think Bader can beat Mo too. I agree with you that Newton is a great fighter, I'm impressed by him and would like to eventually see the Newton/Page fight if Page goes through. Mo is a good fighter no doubt about it, I just see Rampage as being a bad matchup for him, we know in MMA it all comes down to matchups and Mo has never fought a guy like Rampage before, strong as an ox, bigger, powerful striking. For me recent performance has little to do with it, at any point in their careers I think Rampage wins this fight, I think one thing that people will be surprised at is the size/height difference, Rampage looked considerably bigger than Mo when they faced off. One reason why a lot of people are on Mo is because of Rampage's inactivity in his fights but Mo is pretty much the same way, both guys have pretty low workrates. Page just stalks and throws hooks but Mo just moves around and throws jabs pretty much, I think 2-1 is fair odds with in this fight. It all depends on the takedown, can Mo get the TD's consistently on Page? The way the 2 fighters size up I think Mo is going to have a lot of trouble getting him down.

It's easy to pick out my questionable bets, because I track everything. But it's also pretty easy to hide behind a forum username. I remember you were pretty huge on Big Nog beating Roy Nelson just a few weeks ago and that was one of the stupidest picks I've seen in recent memory. We all make mistakes.

Everyone has bad picks, it's the long term record that matters and we're both probably pretty good, so get off your high horse.

If you go back and watch King Mo's last 3 fights and Rampage's last 3 fights, I literally have no idea how you could pick King Mo to win this fight.

I don't know why you decided to make this so personal. Your breakdowns are also extremely one sided and I'm just trying to give to give another perspective on how this fight is likely to play out.

I thought this was a discussion forum, not a bitchfest.

Man up, quit making things personal and concentrate on the damn fights...

You act like the line is close to evens. I'm not laying the juice on a guy who put two sub-par fighters on Queer Street because they were dumb enough to walk straight backwards and get teed off on by rampage.

Any ksw leans, Im big on aslamblek at almost evens

I'm scared to death to bet on KSW events b/c I just get an overwhelming feeling of impropriety taking place there; like the org is

This is the first time Michael Page has been capped by a sportsbook.

I played his decision line @ +675 for the hell of it. Lawal by KO has a monstrous payout. I mean, the guy does have some good GnP who knows. And then I got Walt Harris because he did look good against Rosholt, fight could've gone either way had Rosholt not landed that TD in the 3rd frame.

$14.05 $2,504.72

Walter Harris -120* vs DJ Linderman
Lawal wins by TKO/KO +1165* vs Any other result
Page wins by 3 round decision +673* vs Not Page by 3 round decision

^ For fun because there are no sports that I want to play this weekend other than Bellator. Can't believe im saying this, but what a sigh of relieve that I finally get a break from capping.. lol.

EDIT:

Same parlay right now is only worth 1,626.08 so I'm happy with that :) Damn near a grand haha
