Then I’d have to slap a white disc drive on it.

That controller is nice though.

Supposedly there is a disc drive cover that comes with the console ( but no drive)

  • PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition BundIe
    • Includes the limited edition PS5 Pro console with 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7 in territories supporting this standard, and matching limited edition accessories – DualSense wireless controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, DualSense Charging Station, and a Console Cover for a Disc Drive (Disc Drive sold separately).
    • It also includes a Vertical Stand and special collector’s Items:
  • Original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing
  • Four PlayStation Shapes cable ties
  • PlayStation sticker
  • Limited Edition PlayStation Poster (1 of 30 possible designs)
  • PlayStation Paperclip

Agree on the controller though, for me its the only one I've liked since the Midnight Black version came out

Doubt I could beat the scalpers but I’m definitely interested in that.

I wonder what the next iteration of the Dual Sense will bring. I'm thinking rotating handles could be somewhat cool as it could free up a run button. It could also be used for steering, opening doors, even some sort of melee combos. Would be interesting to see how developers could use it. Sounds expensive though.

Looks like a Days Gone remaster alongside the Horizon Zero Dawn one

Fuck I hope that’s not true. I just could not get past a couple of hours. I was so bored and I usually love Sony first party. It just felt painfully generic. I think I just hate zombie games outside of RE.

Remastering newish games is crazy commercial filler. Eat doo-doo and live.

While I consider Forbidden West vying for top spot for all-time graphical majesty, Zero Dawn sucked, IMO. It was the Frozen Wilds expansion that had me franchise-curious on what’s next. /rant

Dude’s probably (hopefully?) winding up Garvin wih Days Gone remaster remark. Another no-sense project, otherwise.

Sony’s smart so I’m sure these low-overhead remasters are viewed as better-than-silence interstitially when mid-development cycle for all the AAA projects in the oven. With 5+ years production becoming a norm, I think this in turn may also be the new norm.

The bigger question is how many developers are actually going to impliment the new features into games... because I can count on my hand the games I played on PS3 that used it.

As far as the limited-edition PS5 Pro being REALLY limited-edition? 12,300 units?

Its shocking how badly Sony is fucking this up.

Remember when 25 years ago Nintendo released the N64 in numerous colors nearer the end if its life-cycle to boost sales?

Oof there’s only 12,000 consoles world wide? I’ve got exactly zero chance at one lol

Indeed, thats why I'm just gonna grab one of the standard 30th Anniversary Dual Senses and be happy with that

This hits the nostalgia hard. Brought back memories when the PS first came out and me and all of my broke friends would save our money and rent a PS from the local video rental place and stay up all weekend playing games. I remember being blown away by Kings Field and Battle Arena Toshinden. Then the depression that would sink in on Sunday afternoon when we had to return it and go back to playing SNES.

Looks there will be Playable PS5 Pro hardware at TGS

Days gone starts off very generic and very boring. I think I played one mission a day for like a good week. It picks up though and is a great game but yea that start is very slow.

Interesting choice on Days Gone and Horizon, unless they are fixing things then not sure what else they can do (get rid of the sneak missions), both games look good even now. Hopefully if Days Gone does well then we might see a flicker of sequel hope, once the story and missions got going it was very good.

Completely off topic, Mister Mosquito is one of the games on the ps plus ps2 list, such a randomly fun game lol. Never thought I'd see it again, I had to play it. Used to play that on a demo disc.

The PS6 SoC rumors have already started

I'd guess handheld given how much complaining I've heard from handheld OEMs recently. Plus it's hard to see the advantage of a X/S strategy that didn't work out great this generation. It'll be interesting either way.

Yeah I guessed that too, especially seeing it was reported a few weeks back Sony were keenly watching the handheld market recently

According to leak (so possibly false) Concord was WAAAY bigger fail than declared

400million budget and supposed to be "future of PlayStation"

AHAHAHAH

Meanwhile team of 60 people including some from Japan Studio wich got the axe from Sony (after delivering some of most beautiful games of PS history), just released Astro Bot getting love and 10/10s (and hopefully money$) everywhere

Rare, but sometimes universe works right lol
