I'm going to make a confession. I never played a Metal Gear game. I know it's completely bizarre to say that since I've been playing on PlayStation since the OG but I just never got around to this franchise. I'm just too intimidated to get started with them at this point, there's a bunch of them isn't there?
Just play 1 (the OG, not the remake) and 3 for now.

Metal Gear Peace Walker (included in HD collection) is for the first taste of kidnapping enemies and making them work for you to develop new and more powerful weapons and stuff. Metal Gear Solid V has that as well as stealing tanks to be available to deploy with, but it will cost you resources which you must constantly replenish or not have enough ammo. Stealing tanks also help in virtual battles against others to get rewards.

I was looking into sales for solid state external harddrives and saw a few heat sinks for PS5 solid state drive and a few made it sound like the heat sink replaces one of the PS5 panels. Will need to look into this further.

.

How the hell did I miss this. Use to play it all the time, especially on the ps3. Fingers crossed they will include the crazy box mode as that's the mode I played all the time. And the old ost needs to be added

Looks like PS Stars is coming back this week or next. The message was updated.

"PlayStation Stars will be returning soon in phased regional rollouts. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to welcoming you back."

Man what a weird game Kunitsu-Gami is. I love Capcom but I just could not get into this. Tried the demo out and deleted it after 20 minutes. I think my problem is I hate commanding units to move on a map, especially when it feels clunky. I don't even know if you can move more than one at a type and then there's the option to upgrade each one. Seems to be way too much management and that's one of my least favorite things in games. It's why I hated FF Rebirth not having an option to save materia loadouts.

Oh well looks like I'll be saving money in July. The First Descendent was pretty fun and I'll try Zenless Zone Zero on Thursday. Looking to get into a free to play game to last me for the next couple months until Astro Bot hits.

The only two games I have on my radar are these indies. If they review well I may pick them up or at least one of them. Anyone else finding July lackluster?

Thanks. I just checked my Stars status two nights ago from the app and it said the feature was down, like you've been saying. Weird. What the heck happened? Complete revamp? Stars 2.0? The service should run on autopilot after setup; all they need do on their end is update what items we can apply our Stars credit towards from the PS Store.

Nobody knows. I've been checking the Reddit thread on occasion and everyone there is just as clueless. Very bizarre but I'm glad it is returning because I'm preordering Astro Bot as soon as it comes back. There's just no way that game sucks, safest preorder ever imo.

Ha, hard agree. Very safe preorder. It'll be a DualSense extravaganza, too.

I also tried Kunitsu-Gami. Def wasn't a fan, but I could see how some people would enjoy it.

Takes place the last week of September, could be the first public appearance of the Pro

Dude, yes. Demo had me de-wishlist.

I liked the Italian names for status ailments, however; problem is elsewhere the game is a copy-paste of everything we’ve ever seen – but with strange names.

I also couldn’t get past the collapsing wood or toothpicks sound FX when defeating foe. They should lean more flesh than marionette in the regard but can’t go back to drawing board now, I imagine.

Too linear too albeit a budget hallmark for indies; one forked road isn’t exploration and this title’s combat isn’t carrying the experience so linearity stands out more.
I agree. The exploration felt constrained, and rather than offering multiple deep pathways, they relied on this 'otherworld' mechanic to unveil new 'areas'. Yet, you're essentially still confined to the same location. It struck me as an odd choice - stomping the ground in specific spots to reveal new walkways felt generic.

Given that this is a demo, the full game's opening could differ significantly. However, I felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of mechanics introduced right from the start. I believe I acquired 3 masks and multiple weapons, each with various weapon arts. The skill tree was also somewhat confusing, as I struggled to understand how the different passives interconnected.

You all got me hyped for MGS3 again, loved that game and seeing the care they are putting in has me excited. I remember playing stealthy, then a run and gun playthrough, and then a playthrough treating it almost like a sand box (as much as the areas allowed) just messing around.

PSA: 6d until beta launch re Concord. Looking kind of cool as much as I was unimpressed by initial marketing:

Horizon live-action show reportedly nixed. Showrunner is being #metoo'd:

Horizon live action Netlfix series has been canned, Rolling Stone claims

Showrunner Steve Blackman has been accused of toxic behaviour while producing The Umbrella Academy
