Not sure, just seems to be SIE's MO lately with these kind of things.
I'm still baffled why Sony has both Inzone and then PlayStation peripherals despite both brands having mostly identical audiences.

Really just interested in the ear buds. Would much prefer those to a Pulse set and would work excellently with the VR2.

Picking those up too. Like the new Explorer branding because buds are so much comfier, lighter to wear than headsets.

Can someone give me some feature highlights of the Pulse Elite over standard Pulse? What’s the upgrade? Vanilla Pulse is ridiculous quality for the price point.

I get you but i think they want to market the Inzone stuff more at PC players than console, even though they'll use the Inzone monitors for stuff like EVO

Better audio drivers, external mic, AI noise rejection plus the charging hanger and case. I finally bought a Pulse headset recently, pretty disappointed to be honest.

Nice quick takeaway highlights for incoming PSP:

• 8" LCD, 1080p, 60Hz Screen

• Haptic Feedback

• Adaptive Triggers

• PlayStation Portal Will Connect Remotely To Your PS5 Over Wi-Fi

• 3.5mm Audio Jack

• PlayStation Link Wireless Technology

• $/£199.99

• Launching Later This Year

Little more + use case:

+ 8" LCD screen, 40% larger than you get on an iPhone 14 Pro Max in 16:9.
+ DualSense comfort and controls.
+ Advanced haptics, adaptive triggers, touchpad etc.
+ Added convenience.
+ Doesn't use your mobile device (freed up for other use + saves mobile battery).
+ Better PS5 integration/control.
+ PS Link for lower latency.

What is it you’re disappointed in at that price point? They’re an entry-level set with 3D soundscape and whose build quality is above-average.

Didnt really find them that comfortable and wasnt too impressed with the 3D audio after messing with the profiles, if it wasnt for the twin mics it has i wouldnt bother using it

Yeah they're higher end too, it's just strange since Inzone very clearly has the same design language as the PS5. It also would imply that PC gamers are turned off by the PlayStation brand, which I don't think is the case.

The lack of cloud gaming is brutal. I wonder if that can be patched after launch or if it's a hardware limitation.

Most are assuming the cloud gaming will be patched in later. I don’t see any reason it would be hardware limited but I’m not positive on that.

Yeah, it's curious. Because if it's as simple as a software fix, the Portal runs on Android so no idea what the delay is. Did they ever confirm what processor they're using? I would have guessed one of Qualcomm's G series given the announcements coincided, but Qualcomm didn't name drop them. Makes me think it might have been Mediatek to maybe save money.

Maybe they want to make sure their cloud infrastructure is up to snuff before they start going down that road? As in they want to make sure you can play your whole library and not just a few games from a list. They might see how well it launches/sells then from there they can predict what kind of back end infrastructure they will need to support the users.

I don't understand who this is for. People who only have one TV and their significant other wants to use it? Dads who escape to the bathroom? Kids?

Pretty much. It's Sony trying to get more money out of existing customers and build an ecosystem so a PS5 owner buys Sony peripherals, not third-party.

It makes sense but they're already doing that by locking their Bluetooth functionality which is super annoying. They're an innovative company so it bums me they're wasting time, money and resources on this and not something the consumer would actually use. Like their own PS SteamDeck.

Well I don't want a PS Steamdeck cause that's just going to be a weaker system where Sony has to now get their 1st party devs to downgrade games in order to work on that system.

I've used remote play on my steamdeck and it works great at my office. Played a lot of Ghost at the office. So I actually think this would work for people who have time at work during their lunch or maybe they just have a job with lots of free time. I don't think it will sell much but it could be a good product in the future if they get cloud gaming working on it well.

If they add cloud support I’ll buy it. I don’t want my PS5 running while I’m not home.

Sony officially enters into acquisition agreement with high-end headphone maker and audio tech trailblazer Audeze, it’s announced.

Will stay making multiplatform products.

Also supposedley the new buds and headphones announced this week are based off Audeze's designs (like Planar Magnetic Drivers instead of Dynamic Drivers).

Thier Maxwell and Penrose product lines come very highly rated.
