PS5 werewolves can now claim 6 months of free Apple TV. PS4, 3 months. Valid through end of month so grab ASAP to check out shows like Silo and Crowded Room: *hooowwwlll

If you’re looking for another streaming service to take for a spin, then PS5 owners can take advantage of a new six-month Apple TV+ free trial as a result of Sony and Apple getting all chummy again. PS4 users can also grab some free access, but there’s a few things to note.

For PS5 users, you will get six months free access to the service, and includes current members or anyone using a free trial. However, PS4 owners only get three months free access and is limited to new subscribers.

This has been going a while hasn't it, unless its been re-upped. Hadn't seen the previous offer had been stopped

2023 Bloodborne interpretation from fellow Hunter and digital artist Misty Abyss. Never seen artist sign across canvas; bold, IMO. And really love the blunderbuss he's drawn:

It's ending, so last chance to grab and wanted to spread word.

Making the rounds again following court ruling on US Federal Trade Commission versus Microsoft:

SOCOM x Killzone x Resistance

Nice also Sony needs to put more effort into Crunchyroll imo, there was speculation that it would be integrated into PSN but nothing came out of that.

I would definitely upgrade my PSN if that were the case especially if they spend more on making quality originals which I definitely think there are plenty of stories and worlds out there to explore.

Unfortunatley thats not a SIE problem, its a Sony Pictures / Aniplex (Sony Music Entertainment Japan, who also make and dsitribute games separate to PS) problem, they're close to being a monopoly with how much stuff they own with it also which could have implications / problems if SIE were to persue Square or Kadokawa

Are you saying they can't invest in Crunchyroll out of monopoly concerns? I'm not sure I understood you.

Playing Alan Wake Remaster and the VA work is so good. Definitely get Patrick Bateman vibes from Alan.

And? Monopolies and conflicts of interest are en vogue per recent court findings. Let’s do SE and Kado both. Line that sh*t up, Jamie. /s

Quite possibly yes as Sony across its groups own quite a bit of Anime/Mange based stuff and control a lot of the publishing / distribution especially since the Crunchyroll / Funimation merger .

They could probably get away with a couple of smaller purchases or investing in other publishers/ companies (like SIE do with Devolver, From, Epic)

Anything on a larger scale would probably end up in an investigation like the Crunchyroll / Funimation deal did.

Couldn't they just do it in-house instead of purchasing other studios?

Yeah i think Aniplex (and Aniplex owned studios) are pumping out new stuff but just depends on what content hasnt been done / adapted from manga + light novels / licensing costs

I don't think there has been a single Crunchyroll original since the purchase by Sony, I'm not buying the monopoly concerns as the reason for lack of investment tbh, perhaps it's the lack of benefit to them since they ARE a virtual monopoly when it comes to anime streaming

Maybe they don't think it's a good move on a cost/benefit analysis in general. But it's a real shame imo just thinking of the amazing content we could get if Sony really backed it. A remake of eyeshield 21 with top quality animation that would be fantastic.

Been waiting for It Takes Two and World War Z to show up eventually on the catalogue, Twisted Metal 1 and 2 on the classics is a nice bonus.

Also as mentioned above time to dust off Killzone, Resistance and Socom for sure. Resistance with next gen would be great especially if they push the creativity of the alien technology. Almost like a serious Ratchet and Clank with gadgets and tech.

Weakest month for me in quite some time but that's ago. They have been on a roll lately, was bound to have this happen.

Excited for Twisted Metal. Hope they add platinum trophies.

if you haven't played Take Two, do it. Excellent game worthy of being goty even though mine was Returnal in 2021

Sony aren't interested in a new Resistance game, they rejected a pitch for a sequel a few years ago

Sony gaming arm getting steroids:

In a report published by Nikkei, it was revealed that Sony intends to ‘pour’ financial resources into gaming research and development – to the tune of around $2.13 billion. That’s reportedly an investment that’s being made before the end of fiscal year 2024, and it’ll account for a whopping 40% of Sony’s entire R&D spending.
