Sony gaming arm getting steroids:

In a report published by Nikkei, it was revealed that Sony intends to ‘pour’ financial resources into gaming research and development – to the tune of around $2.13 billion. That’s reportedly an investment that’s being made before the end of fiscal year 2024, and it’ll account for a whopping 40% of Sony’s entire R&D spending.

Shame its mostly going into Live service stuff

The Access controller is gonna launch globally on December 6th
https://blog.playstation.com/2023/07/13/access-controller-for-ps5-launches-globally-on-december-6/

For the past five years, we've been on a journey with accessibility organizations and experts to create a versatile controller kit that enables gamers with disabilities to play more comfortably and for longer periods, empowering more players to share in the joy of gaming. Today, I'm thrilled to announce that the Access controller for PS5 will be available globally on December 6, with preorders kicking off on Friday, July 21.

Available for a suggested retail price of $89.99 USD/$119.99 CAD/¥12,980 JPY/€89.99/£79.99 (MSRP), the Access controller lets you customize your layout with different button and stick caps in various shapes and designs, operate the controller from any 360° orientation, and connect third-party accessibility accessories using its four industry-standard 3.5mm expansion ports.

On your PS5 console, there are many settings for the Access controller that you can configure to meet your needs. You can map buttons to create up to 30 control profiles, adjust stick settings, toggle commands on/off, or disable buttons altogether to stop accidental pressing. You can even pair up to two Access controllers and one DualSense wireless controller together and use them collaboratively. Check out the video below for a sneak peek at the countless ways you can craft your own gaming experience through the Access controller:

is this fake?
It’s got to be. We don’t even have info on titles in 2024 or a release date on Hell Divers 2 which comes out this year. This game is either 25 or 26 release year

Anyone kind of excited for Hell Divers 2? I’m not much of an online gamer but something about it looks really fun. I already have 4 games preordered in the second half of this year. Not sure how I’ll find the time for it all

Absolutely. Both Hell Divers 2 & Remnant 2 are on my list. I might be one of the only ones, but I enjoy 3rd person shooters more than I do FPS.

Are you kidding me? Heck yes, bud. One of my most anticipated 2023 titles.

I'd hazard a guess around the same time as project Q
For me Project Q is more like Project Poo. Don't get the niche they're delivering on there; hope there's a product twist to what's known so far.

There's apparently a TLoU 2 PS5 remaster in the works? WTF. Second only to House of Dragon in viewership, I get the HBO adaptation was a runaway success and this remaster maybe releases in sync with season 2's debut but focus on Factions, IMO. I get teams can be working on different projects but if Factions is taking this long in production hell, maybe it need more hands on deck? Crazy.

Its been rumored for a couple of years on and off

New interview from game composer confirms it's happening; timing could be right for PS5/PC port version too re: show was my tack-on to that. Game was beautiful and ran 60 FPS. Not needed.

Main rumour was that there was a directors cut in the works and it would all being well be in 4K (probably 4K/30 and 1440p/60 like the part 1 remake) (PS4 enhancement for PS5 was 1440p/60 also)
