Multiplat Official Lies of P (Pinocchio Souls) Discussion

I don't know if I have what it takes to beat this simply because of the finicky perfect block. I can no hit Inner Isshin in Sekiro but this game's bosses are destroying me.
Stick with it. It's still an incredible game. It's a toss up between this and Armored Core for GOTY for me. I simply adjusted to a less "block heavy" playstyle.

From the minimal footage I saw before buying the game I saw that and almost didn't purchase lol
It's shit. Imagine the gank fight, but they also inflict status ailments, all have ranged and grab attacks, and towards the end, a 4th enemy joins that hits like a truck.

I JUST beat their first encounter so that sounds like absolute hell.

You get an amulet that increases damage to humans a little bit before this part. I'm guessing it's prep for this crap.

DLC had been confirmed by the developers! Really happy about that as I loved this game despite some tiny issues with the last act. I will be there day one when it releases.

Thought the big wrench was good but it's slow dog shit compared to the saw blade+baton handle

Good chunk into the game now, and rather enjoying it, even with the janky dodge/block mechanics. In the library now and can see the boss gate, but need to drain the area first to unlock a path. Using the Electric Coil Head and Fire Axe Handle, and rather like the move set and damage output.

Definitely one of the better souls clones out there, but Lords of the Fallen is looking pretty great. Hoping to finish this up with the long weekend before LotF drops in a week.

So I've been playing like a jackass not understanding half of the mechanics. I wasn't upgrading the P-Organ and I vastly underestimated how much you could do with assembling weapons.

Now I've actually got heals to work with and a weapon that fits this build.

I think I've got to retract that 8 score I gave it, even though I finished this game I still can't stop thinking about it. I ended up creating a new game plus and trying to get the platinum for it. There are a ton of trophies that are easy to miss and I'd like to use a guide this time around to get some of them. I think I'll finish my second playthrough in 2024 though because way too much stuff coming out.

I think I would settle on a 9 for this game. I let my frustrations of the last act lower the score initially but I was too in the moment, sometimes it's better to wait a few days and think things over clearly. The game has awesome lore, flawless performance, no bugs, and it's really fun.

Same. I didn't know you can eventually get buffs for your specters

As much as I've complained, I agree. It's a phenomenal game.

Just took out the Puppet King. Made it to the 2nd phase on the first try but no pulse cells left. Did as much feeling out as I could. Feeling pretty good about a second run and burned a spectre, made it to phase 2 easily, and feeling super confident. Boss lights his scythe thing on fire, first I've seen the attack and had full life so try to block through. Then I proceeded to get pummeled with like a 50 hit combo.

Took him down much easier on the next go and let the spectre eat the fire combo, and damn near killed him.

Switched weapons to the Giant Saw Blade head and Dancer Sword hilt. Thing is beastly and shreds enemies. Only real complaint is the wide attack arc bounces off walls at terrible times.

Man this swamp monster is some bullshit.

Missed the Rapier too much so it's come out of retirement. Did try out the Masterchef's Knife which looked fun but the lack of range was a deal breaker.

If i do a NG+ run i'll probably try a heavy weapon like the bonesaw and cosplay Mad Donkey.

Told ya. People praise that boss but it sucks. It's like it wasn't play tested.
I don't understand why my weapon is broken after first phase sometimes. What is causing that?
