Multiplat Official DOOM ETERNAL Discussion

That makes more sense. You probably forgot to use them. I don't know how you can just jump into endgame content after not playing for two years. You crazy.
What I'm assuming is the last room before the final boss is proving to be quite difficult

Yeah this last room is beating my ass. When I think it's over even crazier shit spawns and I'm down on ammo and health.

Urdak's next so I guess I'm not too far behind. Shit gets more intense every level so I can only imagine.

Wait until the first DLC. It’s sadistic.
I feel like Doom Eternal just simply picks up where the last game left off keeping the difficulty at a end of the game 2016 level, while leaving you with only a shotgun. Then the DLC is just even harder than the last level of the Eternal even though youve got all the weapons !

Those eye turret guns are just cheap bullshit tho

I find the ghosts to be the hardest part of the DLC. I often struggle to swap weapons quick enough to go ghostbuster mode with the plasma beam on them before they can find a new body. Throw a ghost into a tyrant or a Baron of hell or a Doom Hunter? Fucking forget about it.

Holy shit I just did that building and you weren't exaggerating. That must be the hardest series of fights in the main game.

They give you no fodder at one point and throw every type of heavy at you at the same time to force you to use the BFG. I kept trying to stagger and chainsaw them but even then I had insufficient fuel.

I have alot of great memories of this game doing everything in its power to make me go mad. I admire it so much

Yeah dude I still haven't beaten it. I use the bfg off the bat, should maybe try to clear some enemies before that.

I used it at the end when TSHTF. I think there were tyrants, barons, cybermancubi, dread knights and revenants and I had no health or ammo. That fight is rough. It's like 4-5 floors and they get crazier as you go.

Made a few attempts on the last boss but couldn't get past 3/8. I feel like I'm missing something.

I think it took me about a month to beat the campaign. I dont play games for long hours at a time so maybe I could have done it faster, idk.

Even though the game throws a fucking armada at you, once you have all the weapons and experience using them, nothing is unattainable, you get comfortable, and just figure out different tactics as the game kills you over and over. Its alot of fun.

I don't like the DLC nearly as much as the main campaign. It was a little bland and was more annoying challenging than pleasantly and painfully challenging.

I'm at the top floor, at least there's a checkpoint. But it's not something I can try when I've had a few drinks or whatever

You're through the worst of it then IIRC. I don't remember getting a checkpoint until it was all over.

Ehhhh then maybe the check point is before the hell room. Because everything up to this point wasn't this difficult lol

You have to jump across two buildings to get to this one. The first building isn't that bad.

Yep I already did the platforming. Lol nothing kills tension like fucking up a jump a half dozen times

I can’t remember the last time I saw this much misery in a thread. It’s pretty awesome.

Yeah I normally lose most of my armor and health doing the harder tricks and then have to scramble at the beginning of the next fight.

What does your corruption meter say? It's the old combat rating in the top right corner or the screen. You will have no little red squares left once you finish all the floors and get to the boss, whose yellow bar takes up half the meter.
