I'm stuck on an arena fight about halfway through Taras Nabad. That damn archvile, I can't get close to him without being gangbanged by 25 demons.

Lmao right into the final stage. I forgot how hilarious the hordes are. They throw 5 of every monster in the game at you.

In the base game its funny. You'll fight one mob type as a boss then the next stage its a standard mob. Then in the DLC Hugo Martin says "Fuck You", now fight three at once.

I'm at the last level so basically everything is a regular enemy except the last boss. I think my most hated enemies are those pricks with the dogs and you can only damage them under a certain circumstance.

I actually like marauders. I'll probably regret saying that in the next mission lol but fighting them is the closest you get to parrying enemies in souls. Archviles, whiplashes and doom hunters can get fucked though.

I still can’t believe they added the marauders seeing literal stars when you stun them into a patch at some point, because they definitely weren’t there on release. So corny. Can’t believe they did that to the monster they were so proud of as being their most ultimate bad ass

Yeah I'm actually thinking of trophy hunting and doing another playthrough or getting the dlc. This is a breath of fresh air from the metroidvanias and monster Hunter games I've been hooked on lately

Freeze grenades, blood punch, quick swap makes fast work of Archviles and Doom Hunters. I use lock on burst to deal with Whiplashes.

Freeze grenades, blood punch, quick swap makes fast work of Archviles and Doom Hunters. I use lock on burst to deal with Whiplashes.

Thanks I'll try that. I have trouble even finding the archvile until he's summoned half of hell and then it's too late. Do you know where he's going to spawn or how do you isolate him?

Did you maybe use cheat codes to redo some missions? I missed the doom hunter glory kill challenge in Nekravol so I redid it with infinite lives turned on. You get to keep whatever skill points and achievements you earn.

Only in Slayer Gates does he (or they ) have a set location that they spawn in 100% of the time as far as I’m aware.

I listen for audio cues to know when he’s spawned then it’s a mad dash to find him. That’s why ice grenades are the way to go. It’s a guaranteed interrupt if he’s in the middle of summoning. Then Blood Punch and start quick swapping. He’ll stay in a stun lock for most of that and can’t do shit.

Weird. Putting that in the game kind of undermines the need to explore and do the weapon masteries.

I mean it didn't max me out and it's entirely possible I had those points and neglected to use them. I haven't played in 2 years so no idea what I all had. But it prompted me to use the points after the boss fight

That makes more sense. You probably forgot to use them. I don't know how you can just jump into endgame content after not playing for two years. You crazy.
