So I was thinking of booking my vasectomy for the morning of March 20th and then taking a four day weekend to recover and do nothing but sit in a recliner with a bag of frozen peas on my balls while playing Doom Eternal.

Between the story and all the platforming this is definitely looks like it’s just a first person Darksiders game.

Oh well, still a day one purchase for me too, and literally the first game I’ve preordered in 20 years. The only other games I’ve ever preordered were Quake 3 in1999 and Diablo 2 in 2000.

I feel the story is too much. Of course this is only based on the edited footage I’ve seen recently, so it might not be what I think it is. Definitely buying it though, because I put around 200 hours fully completing (not MP) 2016, and the gameplay looks similar, but refined. Basically forcing me into buying it.

Trying to play through Doom 2016 again as I made it to the last boss the first time and never beat it. But this style of game just doesn't suit me. Its boring. And this is coming from a dude who has slayed hundreds of the same monsters in MHW for a couple thousand hours. The presentation is great, the music is phenomenal, graphics are good and everything else. I just can't get hooked on it.

Hey, I kept it respectful, didnt say the game sucked. I just can't get sucked into it like a Soulsborne game. I think I've spent too much time in 3rd person.

Ive enjoyed your frustrated play by play posts as you’ve made your way through the Soulsborne games over the years. I think you should do it for Doom too.

Doom? No. I'm playing on Hurt Me Plenty and am dying a bit but I assume that's the point of the generous checkpoints. I'm shit at inventory management so iirc I didnt have ammo to kill the last boss.
