Ok. What the heck. Just found the PVP zone in the dry steppes and had no idea what was going on. Suddenly i'm being attacked by what i guess was a real person. I battled with him a bit. Dodged. Then I was like whatevs, triggered ultimate and melted him. Got my first PVP kill?

What the heck? Anger Seeds? Altar of Extraction? Can someone explain this to me!?

From the ten or so minutes I spent playing it... being ganked by a level 85 in WT3... fucker.

You collect those seeds from killing mobs as usual. These can be used to buy stuff at vendors back in the local towns but if you try and leave the combat area without going to the altar of extraction first, you lose them all.

Click on the altar and wait for thirty or so seconds while being attacked by demons... and hope no humans turn up to jump you and you purify the seeds or some BS and then can go spend them in town.

If you get killed by a human you drop all your seeds and they can pick them up. Not sure if they get all the seeds you had collected or just a percentage?

Was exhilarating at first. But then I kept getting stomped by this level 64 guy who seemed to just be wandering the zone looking for weaklings to feast on. Would be nice if they level balanced it like every other thing in this game. <shrugs>
 
I guess it's hard to attempt to make it fair when you have so many players of wildly varying character levels, gear and skill while maintaining one consistent world.
 
Just picked up a +3 defense, +3 Devouring blaze, Damage reduction to burning 792ilvl Ancestral necklace and rolled the 4th stat to 13% CDR, absolutely godly necklace. (3 points in Devouring blaze is 30% increased crit damage to burning enemies, 75% if they are immobilized) so with the 3 already allocated its 60%/150%

Afterwards My Arc Lash was hitting for over 100k, lol.

haha just kidding, I’m gonna be around for awhile really enjoying the game. I did a set of tree whispers and got jack shit. Maybe I’ll do some statues, and work on getting some specific aspects I’d like

Helltide events are where it's at for the level you're at..
 
Got about 5 uniques during my slog to 96 today, one of them was a damn near perfect rolled Temerity. The 80% life barrier has made a world of difference, and it procs with a health potion.
 
Anyone have a favorite side quest you have done that you just randomly came across. Mine just happened just did a side quest that had multiple parts. That had me end up in the place that elias summoned Lilith. Liked that they added that as a side quest was wondering if we get to visit that place
 
I'm at level 70. Tons of dungeons, Helltides and world bosses. Nothing.

Then I'm just farming grim favors and the Staff of the Crone drops off of a random mob. Upgraded it, +9 to claw. I'm doing the Stormclaw build now
 
For the 6 super rare uniques like harlequins crest etc for them to drop creatures must be lvl 85+. Apparently you have more chance winning lotto then having one drop. Odds looking like if a unique drops for you that unique has a 1/800,000 to be a super rare unique.

Apparently an account with a harlequin crest sold for 40k USD.

really struggling to find any decent loot at level 61. barely even getting legendary drops at this point, no matter the source. tree of favors, helltide chests, nightmare dungeon elites & bosses. haven’t seen a unique in probably my last 7 levels. can this be remedied by jumping to WT4?

I believe your chances increase if you are around other players.

Try doing the events that attract many players like the siphon towers or world bosses

i’ve done a few world bosses and it’s still primarily rares and magics. even the legendaries i do get are for like level 47 and have 100 less item power. i’m still grinding this druid but i think it’s getting to be time to start a new character. just not seeing much room for progression here. basically just collecting rares, selling them, rinse and repeat. joined a clan with some friends recently though so maybe i’ll come back to it when they wanna party up.

To a degree, but stuff will be a lot harder to kill. Legendary drops aren't the be-all-end all, Sacred (in nightmare) and Ancestral (in torment) Rares with 2-3 good rolls are going to be better than Legendary drops most of the time, finding a good rare with rolls that all synergize with your build is much more likely than finding a legendary that is good to go. At 85, I have 2-3 extra high rolled aspects (or items with high aspect rolls to extract) just waiting for potential upgrades, although at this point I might get 1 item every 3 days that is a minor upgrade/lateral move (with the exception of that necklace I got yesterday which I will likely never upgrade unless I find one with Movement speed instead of the reduction against burning).
