After playing a game so many times like Cyberpunk2077 I have to ask myself to justify playing through it again 'What am I doing differently this time?'
My first time playing Phantom Liberty I played most of it near the end of the main game.
The second time I played PL inter-weaved with the main game.
This time I played all of the main missions exclusively to get to PL, then exclusively played PL until I finished it, and are now completing the rest of CP2077. Its a bit different playing through 3/4ths of CP2077 when your level is in the 40s with access to Tier5 weapons & cyberware.
I've intended on doing a melee-build, but found myself branching out to pistols, and I think I think I now know what the best pistol in the game is.
I've had the opinion Johnny Silverhand's gun is the 'best' but its more like the most fun, but I've been open to learning which is the most effective.
You know the 'mission' (more like sidequest) that the gunstore owner invites you to a shooting competition? And if you win you get a free gun? Previously on my 1st or 2nd playthrough back 2+ years ago I did it and I wasn't impressed by the gun because it didn't fit my playstyle. But in a discussion about 'What upgrade did you get for the Chimera Core?' I heard a random suggestion that stuck with me.
"I made the 'Firecracker' mod and put it on the Gun Competition gun, and its awesome."
Throughout PL I had that mod on an assault rifle which was surprisingly slow-shooting, and when I got the 'Lexington X-Mod2' (the gun competition gun) I was impressed with the improved control that enhanced the aiming (rated 7.9/8 in its stats) it has a pretty good scope, and the trigger control is awesome. It can be shot once without worrying two or three bullets would come out after, it has impressive rapid-fire control, and if you hold down the trigger its completely automatic.
I added...
*The 'Firecracker' mod, making all rounds explosive.
*Tier 5 'Pyro' mod - 'Converts 50% of damage delt to Thermal Damage and gives a 20% chance to burn."
*Tier 5 'RC-7 DYBBUK' muzzle break - '+100 Recoil Direction Reduction.'
Its now a Tier5++ Iconic with +175% Headshot Damage with very little recoil.
Next time you're thinking of doing a pistol build I highly recommend this being your main if you're planning on not being stealthy.
