It occured to me I've never bothered much with the police system, so I fired up the game to see hiw well I'd do and...

I made MaxTech my bitch.

Got up to 5-Stars easily, and I demolished everything with my Tech Shotgun & Grenades.
My 640 health and 1100+ armor absorbed plenty of damage and kept me alive throughout.

Only stopped playing because I ran out of shotgun shells (can only carry 200) so you go through them quick. MaxTech has beefy boss health so basically everything else I had like Tech Rifles, Johnny's gun, and submachine guns all were like spitwads against them.

It was unfortunately quite easy to get away from the police... grab a fast car, drive off, and then find a place to hide. I even ran into Misty's place and all my stars instantly went away.

So when I say that...
*Getting Body up to level 20 and
*getting cyberware to bring your armor as high as it will go
*cyberware to instantly refill your health...
...all makes you unkillable, believe it.

At high level you basically become unkillable. I played a sandevistan pistol build through the DLC and enemies barely did any damage while popped their heads.

Yup.
I wonder if its the same situation on the hardest difficulty.

If not I'm surprised they didn't adjust the damage you receive per hit in an update.

Just finished the ending, and I was forced to go the Rogue ending with Johnny getting V's body. I was trying to do the Secret Ending but there was a complication.

When the game was first released it was reported that all you have to do is get your Johnny percentage (center number on the pause menu) up to 70%, and I had got up to 85% so I thought I achieved what was needed to get the Secret Ending.

You have to wait for 5 minutes during the final 'Johnny & V on the roof' conversation when the secret ending optiom appears... but I was waiting far longer on multiple conversation menus. Wouldn't be surprised if I wasted 20 minutes. As it turns out, the 70+% is not the requirement.

I was looking for a challenge and I was hoping that suicide assault would have been it.

This is worth keeping in mind with the 2.2 update but I think the advancements in the upgrade trees and cyberware made this game far far too easy even on the Hard difficulty.

If you're going into the game with a specific build in mind with cyberware to compliment the upgrade choices... you will probably get extremely OP.

By level 60 I had 640 health and 1100 armor.
I had Cyberware that instantly restores me to 100% health after it hits 50%, and I had three of those charges, and they refill.
And my health refilled very quickly from damage, like I was freaking Wolverine.

I was basically unkillable.
Every enemy encounter was far far too easy, including the final boss, Adam Smasher.
Add to that I had a Tech Shotgun that did 500 damage, and did three times the damage after being charged up for 3/4th a second.
Oh, and I was a netrunner as well.

By point is... if you've played the game before, with the recent updates you should strongly consider playing on the hardest difficulty.

Yea the secret ending is a bit retarded that its locked behind spesific 3 dialogue options, even if you johnny likes you you still wont get it if you dont hit those 3 options

This is basically how I've been playing and what I'm going for, though I maxed intelligence first, then technical ability and have body sitting on 13. I'm clearing off the NCPD missions before touching the side and main missions, with exception of meeting Takemura in the diner.

Basically, I'm in the badlands with a bike, jump off my bike in the middle of a mob, slow time with the quickhack menu, take out four enemies at once with overheat and then polish off the rest with a legendary Satura.

I'd like to go all in Body and Tech, though I have about half of my perk points in Intelligence and I don't wish to lose them.

Let me know how high of a Level you get to just by doing ALL the NCPDs immediately at the beginning.

As well as how many hours it takes you.

I would, but I deleted all of my saves aside from my most recent ones. I also snuck out of Watson and grinded a few levels on the beach in Pacifica. I think I must have grinded four levels? It's slow going. Boosted the hell out of my Progression Perks though.

I think I went into the heist with level 15 in Intelligence, level 10 in Technical Ability, Level 7 in Body and the rest at 3.

I am level 50 now, with thirty hours of playtime. 20 Intelligence, Technical Ability and Strength, 7 Cool and 3 Reflexes. Intelligence isn't great for Stealth anymore, but Overheat alone is an incredible opener to a fight and Cripple Movement makes Cyberpsychos a non-issue, as you can go behind them crouched and subdue them.

Finished Phantom Liberty, and rather than doing everything in the expansion at once I did main and side missions from the base game in-between missions from the expansion. IMO that's the best way to do it.

Also did the...
Betray Songbird
...choice this time around, and the absolute best aspect about this expansion which is wholey unique is that there isn't just a different ending... there's an entirely different finale with different endings for each. The entirety of the story cannot be experienced with just one playthrough, there's important details with each finale & ending.

One flaw...
The first time I played through it I took Songbird's side and you see Alex kill Harrison... and *poof* Alex is never heard or seen from again. Pretty disappointing after the development she had, especially with the bar-dancing scene.

In my 2nd playthrough after betraying Songbird she's immediately killed by Harrison. Makes sense, but that doesn't excuse how she just disappears in the previous choice.

Just searched 'phantom liberty alex' on YouTube and apparently there's a scene at the bar I didn't get on my first playthrough -

This second playthrough and experiencing the entirety of the story backs up my opinion that this is the best expansion of any game ever. Even better than Witcher 3's 'Blood & Wine.'

Right now I'm wrapping some things up with Rogue's & Judy's missions, and then I'm off to the finale & endings.

This is probably going to be the last time I playthrough the game until just before the sequel comes out in a few years. Don't want to keep playing it over and over until I'm sick of it.

With CDPR opening a new studio in Boston, and working on multiple games using Unreal Engine 5 the future is very very bright for the best studio in the industry.

I started up a new game after my last playthrough once I got my main pc back a couple of months ago.

It struggled a bit on my laptop when I played around Dec/Jan, so it's nice to be able to push settings more.

I'm going to wait just before the sequel comes out to finish it again too though. I want to forget more things. I'll also have a beefier system by then and be able to push all settings to the fullest

I just hope CDPR releases mod tools like they did for Witcher 3. Theyre ditching the engine so I expect them to, just hope its sooner than later. This game has so much potential for huge, if not total conversion mods.

I beat the game prior to the 2.0 update. I picked up the complete edition for my PC the other day. Rolled a Netrunner

Holy shit is does this slap!

Fair warning - Netrunning makes it far too easy.

Already mentioned this in other posts, but if you beef up your armor using cyberware to 1100+ points with 20 level in body to get 600+ health you basically are unkillable. That's 'defensively' easy.

Netrunning makes it too 'offensively' easy.
*Point at an enemy.
*Upload a demon that kills them in 20 seconds.
*Walk away while it does its magic.

And its boring as compared to blowing everything away with shotguns or other guns.

Oh ive seen how insanely easy its become. Ive been doing just fixer quests/gigs and its got me way over leveled. Just by doing wakako and dinos fixer quests i was already around lvl 20 after the heist. Ive already maxed out intel snd am sitting on 15/16 tech. I'm halfway thru Regina's fixer quest. Debating if i should proceed or continue the grind for all the fixers.

Also, having 20 intel makes money a non issue and crafting mats for upgrade. Gotten do good st those datamine minigames very rarely do i not get all three daemons

Just finished Regina's Fixers quests. fuck was that long! Now on to Padre. I'll probably do all of them and save Dogwood's for last when I first venture into the area.

Dino ✔️
Wakako ✔️
Regina ✔️

Thought CDPR stated they no longer had any personelle still working in CP2077?

Anyway, for those with Super-Powered PCs this continues to be the 'Benchmark Game.'

@TribalDrumz

Tagging you in this thread because you mentioned you just bought CP2077 with the expansion.

I'm starting my 5th playthrough of the game (yes, its that replayable) so if you have any questions I'll be happy to give non-spoiler answers.

Thanks I’m trying to go in raw to learn , haven’t looked up any beginner tips.

I’ll be back real soon when I’m stuck or confused !

I wholehearted agree you should go into it 'raw,' without knowing any advice as to how to play it. Just know you can re-spec your perk points once per playthrough, to correct perks that you don't use and replace them for perks you would use to compliment your playstyle.

I will give one bit of advice regarding learning a small bit of the story that is NOT within the game itself.

Trust me.

At some point of the main quest, immediately after dealing with some Jamacians, you will receive a videocall. You'll know what I'm referring to after you receive it.

After that videocall, watch this -

Ive been replaying this game on and off for months. Finally getting to the end of Phantom Liberty. Then its back to Embers!

I almost got a 4090. But I'm holding out for the 5090 because I really do want to play this in all its glory. I can max everything out at 1440p on the 3080Ti but the frame rate hangs around 60. I know that sounds extreme but I don't want it dipping into the 50's/40's during a gun fight.

This is one of those stories you like to hear about, along with stuff like No Man's Sky and Final Fantasy XIV. Games that the developers loved, listened on, and improved.

Good maybe they'll end up patching it for the Pro. I have the PC version but I do plan to buy it again for PS5 eventually. Just can't justify spending so much for it since I've already played and beat it. Just haven't done the DLC.
