There are 3 different stances but it's only for your charged attacks. The basic light attack moveset seems to be the only one you get.
 
Does this have side missions/quests that give gear rewards? Im all about that type of game

Mick can communicate this better but I think he's meaning rather it calls into question the game's (and makers') integrity – irrelevant of its successes or failures, e.g., user game data – where does that end up and to what end? Western-forged privacy policies/GDPR are of no substance to a country leading the world in intellectual property theft, state-sponsored technological espionage, rampant data abuse in watchlist makings and AI-training models et cetera.

Be prepared to hit Square A LOT. It is quite literally button mashing. What makes this game enjoyable for players is the sense of discovery they experience, unlocking cool cutscenes, items and challenging boss battles. After defeating a boss, players feel a strong sense of accomplishment. These are scattered all over the place. Compared to say, Dragons Dogma II where you would stroll into a long cave, fight a ton of enemies only to come across some crate that gives you a potion.

Personally, I think GOW 2018 and GOW:R clears but they can definitely take some lessons here for sure.

I didn't think I was going to enjoy it as much as I am within the first few hours because of the dodge, roll, attack simplicity. However, the game has grown on me. Although, Chapter 3 is far and away the most annoying and difficult level thus far. A certain in-game mechanic makes it a tad aggravating.
 
I think I’ll treat myself to this game whenever PS5 Pro releases. Rumors are it will help UE5 games run better. That being said the discourse around this game is infuriating. The fanboys are saying that if this game doesn’t win goty then the game awards are biased. From what I’ve seen and been told it’s fun but has some flaws. For those who played this game is it really goty calibur is this just more culture war bullshit going on with a mix of nationalism?

The Last of Us 2 winning game of the year made it obvious the games were biased

For a game released in 2024, it's certainly been the most entertaining game I have played. I'll always judge a game on it's merits and not the culture war BS that surrounds it. I tend to block all of those YouTube channels when I come across them. Its one of the most annoying aspects of our culture at the moment. BUT, I can understand when drastic changes upset people (like female Custodes....wtf lol). Then again, personally, I could care less.

I think it might have some stiff competition when WH40K Space Marine II drops though.
 
The prison is ch 3 is some bull shit. Unlocked the alter at the top, but have a key item for some of the prison cells so want to fully explore the area before I make a run at the boss. Will be super glad to leave this area.
 
I think I'm on the tail end of Chapter 3. Keep fighting what I think is the chapter boss, only to move on to the next section. First 2 areas where pretty straight forward, then moved into the third area and it's hard to get my bearings. Fairly large open area and trying to keep track of where I've explored has been pretty tough, so end up doing a bunch of back tracking and looping back into other areas.

The mapping system is atrocious, imo. You really have to memorize the locations because they don't really give you best point of reference of where you're at or where you want to go. It's literally a name and a small picture.

I just landed in the 3rd section of Chapter 3. I need to go back and level some gourds and character. I think I'm close to level 60.

Cyan Loong is probably my favorite boss so far in CH3. I'm not the biggest fan of boss fights in which the goal is the survive an onslaught long enough to tag the opponent and then run around in circles to dodge projectiles. Bosses with deliberate move-sets are so much better. Cyan was a tough opponent that could drain you in 1-2 hits.

Haven't seen that boss yet, but I have a lot to uncover in chapter 3, the last area is huge. Name didn't sound to familiar so had to look him up and I think he's a secret boss so will have to clear him out. I think have 3 of the 4 captains downed.

I had no idea he was a secret boss.

Did you explore all of the floating turtle? Instead of fighting Kang-Jin, I decided to trek around and realized there were areas on the sides of the turtle you can wonder around in. Cyan is located on the right hand of the Shrine towards the bottom.
 
I stopped playing when I got the chapter with the spiders. There are too many spiders and I needed a break.
