Elections NYC mayoral race

I’m asking the question.
It's a long and complicated answer.

1) The history of the US (and Canada) is absolutely brutal and unjust, and has a lasting legacy

2) Speaking truth to power means telling the truth and standing up to oppression even if it's unpopular with those in authority

Gee, I don’t know-how about all the stuff about homeownership being “a weapon of white supremecy” and a bunch of other shit.
So, nothing that I quoted. Gotcha.
As for your country being overtaken, 14 muslim members of parliament were just elected with 21 other positions almost won as well.
The Indian (dot, not feather variety) pop has increased over 300% in the last decade. 45% of your university students are immigrants.
Lol you're a racist loser
You guys are being bent over and fucked dry without the common courtesy to spit on it first.
Keep parroting that propaganda, dipshit

When the fuck did you become queen b? I barely noticed you much before, so I never paid attention to the shit you had to say, but I can’t imagine you have been such an insufferable twat the whole time you’ve been here
I don't think you've really been paying attention. And you just aren't very smart.

The truth hurts, dipshit. Go watch some more Andy Ngo propaganda lol.

Who is being oppressed now, and by who, and what is her solution to it?

If it’s just pitting New Yorkers against New Yorkers, that’s not going to work very well. I’m white. I grew up blue collar in nyc. Am I an oppressor?

Renters, by landlords, rent strikes and rent control
If it’s just pitting New Yorkers against New Yorkers, that’s not going to work very well.
It isn't. It's enabling people who are struggling to reduce their cost of living
I’m white. I grew up blue collar in nyc. Am I an oppressor?
No, but you did benefit from the systems of oppression to a certain extent, while at the same time being oppressed by them.

Working class white folks have a lot more in common with working class immigrants than they do with the ruling elites and landlords.

Renters, by landlords, rent strikes and rent control
I guess that depends on who get renter is, and who the landlord is.
It isn't. It's enabling people who are struggling to reduce their cost of living
It’s still taking money from someone else. And not all of those “someone elses” are bad.

I’m not working class any more. But no, I didn’t benefit from systems of oppression. My family came from little, but more and more each generation. But my kids…….they benefit from my earned success.

I guess that depends on who get renter is, and who the landlord is.
Not really. The rental market is out of control and wildly unaffordable to most. "Market rent" is largely determined by the oppressor.
It’s still taking money from someone else. And not all of those “someone elses” are bad.
That is dramatically oversimplifying the situation
I’m not working class any more. But no, I didn’t benefit from systems of oppression.
Yes you absolutely did. I am not saying you didn't face any barriers or oppression, but precisely none of those barriers were because you are white.
My family came from little, but more and more each generation. But my kids…….they benefit from my earned success.
And they are very lucky. I hope they appreciate it.

It’s determined by the market. They get what people pay.

So is oppressor / oppressed.
Yes you absolutely did. I am not saying you didn't face any barriers or oppression, but precisely none of those barriers were because you are white.
You have to look in totality. Just using “colors” to determine how “oppressed” someone was is also very simplified.
And they are very lucky. I hope they appreciate it.
They are and they do.

It’s determined by the market. They get what people pay.
Sorry, but that's nonsense.
So is oppressor / oppressed.
Fair enough, but it gets to the heart of the matter.

Yes, but the fact remains that the United States was definitely a white supremacist country, and in many ways it still is, especially on a structural level.
They are and they do.
I'm glad to hear it.

Sorry, but that's nonsense.
If people weren’t willing and able to pay the rent, the rents would go down.
Fair enough, but it gets to the heart of the matter.
Not in a way that is really actionable.

My boss is black. He makes $5m+ a year. He lives and works in nyc.

I don’t know what the “structural level” is. Race itself isn’t a barrier to success today. Rising out of negative environments is.
I'm glad to hear it.
Thx.

If people weren’t willing and able to pay the rent, the rents would go down.
It's not as simple as that. Rent control is a proven way to make life more affordable for renters.
Not in a way that is really actionable.
I disagree. Solidarity is the key.
My boss is black. He makes $5m+ a year. He lives and works in nyc.
I mean, good for him, I guess?
I don’t know what the “structural level” is. Race itself isn’t a barrier to success today.
The data conclusively says otherwise
Rising out of negative environments is.
The two things are very closely related.
Take care, Sherbro. I think you are good people.

WHY did he lie about that?! It's such weird behaviour for an adult human being.

His liberal NPC fans completely believe everything he shits out of his piehole

The next couple years are going to be peak comedy

Dude is literally a trust funder who's never held a real job in his life and is the son of a far left Marxist professor who advocated that Muslim terrorism was a legit form of warfare. He has zero idea what it takes for average people to live. The idea that Government can completely run businesses, housing and food is garbage and has failed every time it's been tried.

"In his 2004 book Good Muslim, Bad Muslim: America, the Cold War, and the Roots of Terror, Mahmood Mamdani said that suicide bombers should be recognized "as a category of soldier" and that it should be "understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than stigmatized as a mark of barbarism."

And it looks like Mamdani is standing firm with his racist communist Housing Official who wants to "Impoverish the White Middle Class" and claims Home Ownership is "White Supremacy". Which might be a surprise to all the Blacks, Indians, Hispanics, etc who own homes in the US and in Western Countries.

But Mamdani holds these same views.

If Mamdani actually "Tries" to implement such policies... And I really hope he tries, the fallout is going to be glorious.

I can't wait.
