If he just read his own source he'd have no excuse to whine.Don't start any fire dumbass, and you'll be fine.

Issues with Nova Scotia in general notwithstanding, did you read the article sourced by TS? Because he clearly didn't.Nova Scotia is the armpit of Canada. Always has been, always will be. 30% of people here are do-nothing slugs working government jobs. The rest are sub-60 IQ dummies who will give the government a handjob when they enact overreaching, authoritative measures. Govern us more Daddy! Also when can I go on EI?
I'm getting really close to leaving. My wife is from here. I'm from Ontario. We met in Edmonton and she wanted to come back here....
Life is generally good for us, but the government, taxation and the general morons and pussies that live here are getting to be too much. Can't go for a walk in the bush.
Fuckin can-ass province.
Takes one to know one, I guess. They’re too greasy
Nice strawman but if my family can’t use my land without risk of being fined 25k. It’s up to their discretion. Use all the bold text and cry all you want but that’s insanity.Re: the bold, what a load of reactionary horseshit. You won't be fined for hiking on your own land. Did you even read your own source?
Landowners are being encouraged to voluntarily follow the same restrictions on their private land to minimize the risk of wildfires. While landowners will not face a fine for activities such as hiking in their own woods, any guest of theirs who is found violating the ban could be fined.
How in the actual fuck can you object to this: "We just need to get through this stretch together and not have any fires."
No shit sherlock. Whenyou have nothing that can start fires what the fuck are you talking about Andy? Walking is combustible! LolIssues with Nova Scotia in general notwithstanding, did you read the article sourced by TS? Because he clearly didn't.
Long story short, when it's that dry, fires are bad, m'kay.
I have nothing to cry about. I don't live there. I'm pointing out that your own source contradicts you and obviates your complaint.Nice strawman but if my family can’t use my land without risk of being fined 25k. It’s up to their discretion. I own a lot of waterfront land. If my mother or uncle want to fish it or hike through my thinned and spaced woods, they’ll have to do so knowing they could be fined 25k.
Just 2 weeks to flatten the curve… Not looking forward to yearly bans on property use. As an avid outdoorsmen and someone with common sense, this is absolutely ridiculous.

Man youre a government simp.
Isn’t hiking a specific activity? Like with boots and backpacks and shit? If it’s just walking, why have two words?
Anyway, yeah, I’d be pissed if the government told me when and who is allowed to walk around on my own land, that’s some bullshit. Although, I have no idea how they’d enforce it. Patrolling private land without permission, looking for pedestrians?

You feed your dog nova scotia cobra chickens?I just hate that we can’t have more than 3 shots. I would love a punt gun or to be able to use all of the mag. It’s a semi auto, I could get rid of the geese all at once.
Goose meat sucks. If anyone has any good recipes let em know but as of now, I skin them, cook them and feed them to my dog who doesn’t care
Yeah my grass is brown. Need to get the sprinkler going.I wish. We have seasons like many states. We're currently in scorched Earth season, and it's been more than a few weeks of this absolute bullshit.
Seems like that would have to be the case. Really hard to imagine any other way a friend would end up being "found violating the ban", unless maybe reported by the landowner."The rules are in place for provincial Crown land until Oct. 15 or until weather conditions allow them to be lifted."
"Landowners are being encouraged to voluntarily follow the same restrictions on their private land to minimize the risk of wildfires. While landowners will not face a fine for activities such as hiking in their own woods, any guest of theirs who is found violating the ban could be fined."
Taking these two statements together, it's apparent guests won't get fined on private property unless they start a fire.
Banning walking around is terrible. I think if some idiot is going to start a fire they are probably not smart enough to obey bans on walking around.
Instead of increasing military spending to 5% of GDP Canada should be putting that money towards water bombers, fire trucks, new firefighters and salt water desalination.
Canada needs a major national mobilization to combat the yearly forest fires. With that scumbag rapist and his p-e-d-o protection squad in charge in the USA, climate change will continue to get worse. Every scientist who hasn’t been paid off by big oil has said this kind of problem is permanent, so Canada needs an escalating response.
Unfortunately the USA can’t be counted on to help, but if Canada leads the way other nations that face forest destruction through fires, like France and Germany, would have an example to follow.
Hey, is desalination really a big deal for Canada? Don't we have infinite fresh water?
We have 20% of the worlds freshwater; but Google says:
“It would require an immense amount of water to extinguish all of Canada's wildfires, potentially far exceeding the volume of freshwater the country possesses. While Canada has vast freshwater resources, including 20% of the world's surface freshwater, this water is not always readily available where and when it's needed for firefighting. Furthermore, the sheer scale and intensity of some Canadian wildfires can make them incredibly challenging to control, requiring massive amounts of water and resource”
And
“Current Canadian wildfires have burned an area roughly the size of West Virginia. Specifically, the fires have consumed over 15 million acres, which is comparable to the area of West Virginia.”
No place has infinite fresh water, Canada as a whole has an estimate of 20% of the world's fresh water supply. But only a small amount is "renewable".Hey, is desalination really a big deal for Canada? Don't we have infinite fresh water?
