Not impressed with Garry tonight

I got you, I think if you have a fight where one fighter gets more than 1 10-8 round then something is very wrong....

How can you be that much better but fail to finish? Its an obvious mismatch which should not have been booked at all and none of the fighters deserve any praise for that.

100% fixed fight. Magny didn't throw a single hard punch for 3 rounds lmao. Just stood infront of Garry pretending to be a can.

Well, the first leg kick put him down. He's also not exactly a power puncher.

But yes, the fight was totally fixed. Ian looked amazing beating up a one legged fighter for 3 rounds. Good call by the UFC to fix that fight, and planning it the way they did. Was much needed for them.

You're a tool.

Yeah, Garry is notorious for his legkicks. Literally kicks right through the bone, yea?

Couldn't have scripted a better way to throw a fight. Zero damage taken and sub 90 IQ casuals like yourself buy it.

And yes, it is indeed needed with a few new stars for the UFC.

If you're serious, rewatch the fight and focus on Magny. It's blatantly obvious that he's not even trying to win or hurt Garry with anything. For 15min.

If he's going to throw the fight, why would he get his ass beat embarrassingly around the octagon for 3 rounds and being blasted publicly and shamed by his last-minute opponent for being a child-abusing dad instead of just taking a punch and going down like a normal human?

Oh so there is a "normal" way to throw a fight? Has to be a K.O then? Fair enough. Smart conclusion!

Now answer: Why didn't Magny throw a single hard punch or kick for 15min?

Well he did.

Why didn’t he throw more? For the same reason Aljo didn’t spam takedowns. Because he was afraid of getting punished even more, obviously.

And it’s not that there is a normal way to throw a fight but rather that a normal human wouldn’t arbitrarily trash their reputation as an parent outside of the ring in order to take a loss inside.

Yeah. Great conclusion once again. With that logic, I'm guessing you're an engineer or something similar?

"Magny made himself look like a bad parent before the fight, so it's impossible he didn't throw it"<Lmaoo>

Let me help your slow brain on the way here. Maybe Machado-Garry froze Neil Magny? Like literally speaking now (just to be clear) - Magny just froze up and forgot how to fight all of a sudden? Like Elsa. In Frozen. Kinda like Adesanya said he'd do. Probably?

Magny, after facing and winning against softer guys such as Lawler, Hendricks, Condit, Lombard, Neal etc. perhaps just got scared in the moment when seeing the mighty Cringelord Machado-Garry? <Moves>

Not “scared”, you dork. Unsure of how to attack.

He got caught taking pictures and it’s extremely common against talented strikers who rely on a lot of feints.

By your logic - Aljo who had been in there with Cejudo, TJ, etc. should have had no problem dealing with Sean’s footwork and taking him down, right? He’s not allowed to run into a new puzzle because he has experience against some of the best?

It is an excellent performance. He shut Magny down. Magny has been the gatekeeper for the division for a long time. The next few fights for Garry aren't going to be easy.

Don’t argue with white belts who are new to the sport. They don’t even understand what they are watching. I have friends like this lol

Another sub 90 IQ with zero logical arguments. Nice one.

Since you are so experienced, can you walk me through why Magny didn't attempt a single hard strike for 15min?

*A fighter completely shuts down a very tough opponent.
Shertard: "I'm not impressed".

You are arguing with a certified moron. Look at the kind of replies he delivers. Dont waste your time

Magny used to be the gatekeeper for the top10 at WW, not for tittle contention.
Nowadays, not even that. He had just arguably lost to unranked Rowe as well as to unranked Griffin, apart from being dominated 50-45 by Chiesa.

It was a good performance by Garry if he wasnt overhyped. For a guy hyped up as a tittle contender in the near future, it was rather dissappointing

Yeah there's no doubt that the downplaying of what he did is being fueled largely by the way he acts.

1) He absolutely wrecked Magny. Yeah he didn't finish him, but when's the last time you saw a 30-24?
2) His trash talk is absolutely abysmal. His grandstanding/pearl clutching about a joke Neil made about smacking kids is just so cringe-inducing. It's so desperate and so stupid, he sounded like a politician. Feed him to Khamzat

Because every time he tried to open up he got cracked with a leg kick.

Prior to this fight, Magny was generally considered a good guy, I think?

If Garry gets paired up with Wonderboy next, does he go full heel again against the NMF in the UFC?

I don't think so, he seems to idolise Wonderboy
