Nick Diaz wants Mayorga or Vargas

Out of all the boxers with notable name, Diaz's best shot is against someone like Mayorga.

Because let's face it...Mayorga is a wild puncher, not really refined in his skills and is definitely under the "brawler" category.

Any other technical fighter and Diaz gets killed and/or embarassed.

And diaz isn't a wild puncher? He's crap and would get murdered by anyone in a ring.

Just calm down there partner....
I know Diaz would get killed...I'm just saying Diaz's best chance is against a brawler type, not a sharp, technical fighter.

Diaz isn't really a wild puncher, more of a volume puncher but yes he would still get hurt in a boxing match against any top guy.

I know he has trained with Ward, is there any footage of it on the YouTube. I am not near pc right now.

Mayorga vs Diaz please Don King let this shit happen,Mayorga in the press conference would bring the lulz in epic proportions also i want to see Nick reaction when Mayorga pimpslap him.

I disagree with that. Diaz is used to dealing with brawlers in specific ways, and there's a huge difference between MMA brawlers, and Mayorga, whom it should be evident by the rounds he won against Mosley, is a thinking aggressor.

Diaz might lose a decision to a technical type, but he'd have a punchers chance against someone who is a defensive specialist, but doesn't hit big. Against a guy like Mayorga, he might actually get seriously hurt.

I love his style and eagerness to fight (hurry up and fight Mayhem, bitch) but Diaz would get lit up like London during The Blitz.

And another thing one should point out is that Nick Diaz isn't really a world class striker, even in the realm of MMA. He leaves himself open for counters quite often and honestly...any striker with a grasp of the rudiments in boxing skill will defeat him.

I have Paul Daley knocking his a$$ out.

lol.

true story. Yesterday i looked up a Nick Diaz highlight, to see why everyone would talk about his hands and his 'boxing'. I've never seen him fight ever. Upon watching it, it was an immediate "lol pff, big deal. THIS is what everyone gets wet about?"

With his arms high and floating around from his face. Trying to psyche out the opponent. That amateur shit doesn't fly in Boxing. Also him leaving a big wide gap up the middle to his face. Basically begging for someone to feed him some straight punches. I was seriously thinking how a jab would land every time and how much it would beat his face to pulp.

Then i see this thread today. HAH!

They're really calling out Vargas? Did Jake LaMotta and Emile Griffith already turn them down already?

How about Boxers stick to Boxing and MMA fighters stick to MMA..saves alot of time, and alot of embaressment.

Mayorga was scheduled to be in an MMA match last year before Don King sued him saying Mayorga still owed him fights.

Not sure if the MMA world is ready for Ricardo Mayorga. He'd make Chael Sonnen look tame in comparison.

i dont think nick is worried about getting a beating. i think he's looking for some financial security. one good pay-day with a Mayorga type fighter and he can live much more comfortably. plus i heard he's thinking about getting married. let's say they negotiate and he makes $500 K. that is more than he will make for the next few years doing MMA. i'd say that is worth a possible beatdown.

also, i think he would be competitive for a couple rounds before getting stopped on cuts or TKO'd in the late rounds.

Diaz needs to concentrate on not getting knocked out tomorrow night before he starts challenging top boxers light years ahead of him.
