Yeah, his KO ratio and record is pretty insane. He's only lost to elite fighters, and also won a Bronze medal in the Olympics
I think most people discredit his skills based on lack of quality names on his resume, as well as those youtube highlight clips you mentioned.

The trouble is people take shit way too literally. People have been saying for years "Wilder doesn't know how to box" because he is noticeably less skilled than his peers who are the best HWs in the world. He was an Olympian whose been fighting at a high level for over 15 years. Wilder fights in a way that maximizes his shot to win. Hes not trying to impress you with his crisp jabs and footwork hes trying to send his opponents to lalaland.

Not that Wilder could look like those guys but he could look a lot better if he dedicated himself to "looking nice". But thats stupid boxings about winning not looking nice.
