It's crazy how good that 2012 movie is. I have no hope for this and honestly if I want more Dredd I'll watch the 2012 version.

The 2012 Dredd is so fucking good. And I used to have 3D glasses for my tv. So I was able to watch the 3D blue Ray. It was amazing.

I really liked "Hunt for the Wilderpeople," but it's been all downhill ever since. Terrible choice. Love and Thunder was absolute ass.

Dredd was awesome. Why not just continue that? And for the love of god, why have this absolute HACK make this new one? His two Thor movies were ATROCIOUS! This is going to be a disaster.

Im gonna go out on limb and guess hes actually gonna try to do a legit Dredd movie here. His star has fallen a bit and hes gotta know his "style" has lost its novelty. JoJo Rabbit was great, and it showed he can step outside that niche a bit, even if JoNo was still a sort of fable, it obviously had darker moments. He could only have gotten to do something like that if he had done it at the time he did, and to be fair he knocked it out of the park.

So now here he is and his last couple movies have flopped and his name/style have become sort of a punchline. But hes still a comic geek and I dont think hes gonna stray to far from passion projects. I dont know what exactly his plan is, or whether its even gonna work, but for now im guessing hes not just gonna try to do Love and Thunder and Judge Dredd. At the end of the day, Judge Dredd is still a comic book and not some kind of dark, gritty Martine Scorcese crime drama.

Waititi should stick to stuff like What We do in the Shadows, Flight of the Conchords, voicing Korg, Wilderpeople, Boy, etc. I love those movies b/c they have a certain uniqueness and charm to them. His mainstream stuff doesn't really hit mainstream or niche stuff. It tries to hit the middle and misses both IMO.
